The Kiddiewinkles Breakfast Club and After School Club are using our premises on a weekday basis. A Circuit Maundy Thursday event was held at Church. Group which used to meet in the 1960s held a 45 year reunion in October 2015. Money raised through events such as Bring and Buy, Fireworks Party, Beetle Drive and barbecue.

The history of Monton Methodist Church. In 1897, £400 was left to the Eccles Wesleyan Methodist Circuit. Prompted by the expansion of a new residential area around Monton, it was decided that “a brick School and Chapel be erected, at the cost of £900. The total cost was £1119.6s . The Church finally opened on 27th January 1899. And the School Hall was completed by 1903. Welcome to Monton Methodist Church. Is one of a group of Methodist churches which form the Salford Circuit. It is as Minister of this Church and Superintendent Minister of the Circuit that I welcome you to the Monton Church website not just to the website, but also to the church should you ever be in this area. Monton is to the north-east of Eccles (of Eccles Cake fame) which is now part of the city of Salford, to the west of Manchester.

Monton Methodist Church caters for many different groups for all ages. The following list shows the days on which these groups meet. A social and spiritual group for adults. Meets every two weeks. The facilities at Monton Methodist Church reflect our standing within the local community. We feel that everyone should be able to use our premises, regardless of age, race or ability. The building is wheelchair friendly. And has a disabled toilet with handrails and emergency call bell. The Church itself is fitted with a loop system for those who are hard of hearing to provide added clarity for all. Large print hymn books are available and the Service is recorded onto CD each week.

Our main services are usually held on Sundays at 10.45 am and 6.30 pm. Parents are free to bring their children to any service. A small bag of toys is available at the back of the church. If children need occupying. All visiting children are welcome to join the relevant group in the Junior Church when members leave the morning service. Our evening services can include items from the choir, or even a film shown instead of a sermon. Communion services are held approximately once a month.
