Sandy Point is located in Victorias South Gippsland, just over 2 hours drive south-east of Melbourne. It is 15 km from Fish Creek and 27 km from Foster. Coming from Melbourne, use the South Gippsland Highway. You will go through Korumburra and Leongatha and then just after the little township of Meeniyan, you will turn right to Fish Creek. Sandy Point Community Group. The main role of Sandy Point Community Group (SPCG) is to provide strong advocacy in support of improved facilities, infrastructure, recreational facilities within the local community. SPCG also conducts community events, especially those which involve community strengthening activities and social events for families, such as the Sandcastle Competitions. On the surf beach each year, one in Easter and one during Christmas holidays (usually between Christmas and New Year).

We had a great time fishing with Royce and family on Lake Superior just over a week ago. We caught 4 lake trout and the fifth one got away.
