Sarah and Freddie 1,000 Days. The first 7 days. Monthly Archives: April 2014. April 9, 2014. Sarah on steroids. Dex is back (as it is every four weeks but sometimes the effect is greater). There is an Ad on TV at the moment advising that if you overfeed your child it puts them at risk of getting diabetes or cancer. Sarah points her finger at me and says with menace “I already have cancer so don’t even think about it! Thank God for 7 young blonk. Bye Dex, bye bye Freddie. Two Years On….

Sarah and Freddie 1,000 Days. The first 7 days. Bye Dex, bye bye Freddie. February 3, 2015. We thought the day would never come. It felt as if we were in for a lifetime of blood tests, chemotherapy and emotional meltdowns courtesy of Dex. Well, the end has begun. On Sunday January 18th Sarah took her last ever dose of Dex and threw the bottle over the deck (into the garden – it was a symbolic gesture! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. Sarah has a couple of weeks left taking Methotrex...

Of course maintenance begins with 5 days on sizable doses of Dex which kicks in with Sarah pretty quickly, so she has had a lot of emotional ups and down this last week, hysteria veering towards tears one minute and laughter the next. This last year has been a testing and trying road with many ups and downs and seemingly never-ending (scheduled) hospital visits. Thankfully, Sarah is thriving despite temperatures, chest infections, scary liver function test results and the usual doses of chemotherapy and steroids. Fingers crossed it lasts! Sunday, April 11, 2010. Happy 16 weeks Stella! Stella is now 16 weeks old.she'll be 4 months old in a few days! It's hard to believe that it's been that long! She is such a happy baby but we are still battling her reflux. She smiles all the time and loves her big sister! She coos and goos a lot.more than Olivia did!
