Sunday, 18 May 2008. I flew back to Chennai alone yesterday:( back to the YWCA where it all began! Which, as well as being in Chennai again after 6 weeks is so weird! Had no sleep so i tried to sleep but couldn't because it was too hot. i had some errands to run around town anyway so i went a got a rickshaw. normally i negotiate the price but i had quite a few places to go so i thought i would just do it at the end. BIG MISTAKE! He wanted 1200 rupees for like 1 hour of driving me hardly anywhere! Oh yeah...

Thursday, 15 May 2008. Delhi (and other stuff). Everyone told us to be careful in Delhi because apparently you get more hassle and going on on my own just for 20 minutes i definately did but in a small group its been abosolutely fine. just doing some reading at the hotel while jen and ellie sort out their Cambodian visas, then tonight we're catching the train to Agra where we're going to see the Taj at sunrise tomorrow! Saturday, 26 January 2008. 26th- Republic day (or ignorance day for us! I had possibly the weirdest day of my life EVER yesterday! So we piled into a mini van and went to the site. it was in the countryside and just a big piece of land basically with a few chairs, a bed frame and a cd player playing the LOUDEST indian music ever! We waited for about an hour and gradually more and more people turned up until we realised it was a huge family picnic! And some volunteers from the love care centre also came!

Friday, 29 February 2008. I wore my sunglasses today, big mistake! Got big white circles now! Plus, uneven application of suncream means i look like some sort of deranged leopard! We went to the beach today, which was very nice and peaceful, gave us time to read, listen to music, sunbathe and swim in the sea:). I am very fine! Tomorrow is the backwater tour! Saturday, 26 April 2008. Spent our last night in Gokarana killing 2 absolutely huge cockroaches that i found in our bathroom. DISGUSTING! They were red and huge and they move so fast!
