Bien there done that: januari 2009

Bien there done that. Donderdag 29 januari 2009. I've been really cold when I got the key to my new garden. Yes I'm the proud tennant of an allotment. I know I don't have time to do any gardening but that's allright because my garden is meant to read and knit in. I trust that the plants that are in the garden know how to grow by themselves. I might add some plants like mint so I can enjoy a cup of tea while reading and knitting and hope that the old plants will teach the new plants the ropes. It's always...

Monday, July 31, 2006. Who's a Lucky Little Knitter? It seems JFC picked up on my "subtle" hints loud and clear because he snuck home this beautiful spinning wheel. I mean, talk about EXCITING. I am going to spin yarn! Now last but definitely not least, I've also received one more knitting book from my big brother Aaron...

SAS Knits It Again. It's not what it seems. This hat that looks quite angelic folded up, but once pulled down not only turns into warm and comfortable snow protection, but also doubles as a pretty mean hide. Away It's a great hat for skiers and snowboarders, adjustable to all kinds of winter weather. And it makes for a rather original Halloween accessory. The design is mostly inspired by the character Jack Skellington from the animated movie 'The Nightmare before Christmas’ by director Tim Burton. Place m...

Knitting Frog: December 2008
http://knittingfrog.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, 11 December 2008. I am pretty sure I have been a good girl this year, although I caused several death in the bug kingdom (carpet beetles and moths). So if it is not too much trouble I would really appreciate a new job for Christmas. Any little job will do as long as I can pay my half of the rent and the food and the bills. I want that more than a working spinning wheel (and that's quite something). Many thanks, and Merry Christmas,. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Knitting Frog: I am spoiled...
http://knittingfrog.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-am-spoiled.html
Monday, 11 May 2009. When Honeygirl announced she had brought me a yarny present I was far from imagining that she meant not 1, not 2, but 8 balls of the most gorgeous lace-weight alpaca, in undyed cream colour, begging to be knitted up into a gigantic shawl. I can't stop looking at it, and the nerves are beginning to show as I am not sure I will EVER find a project to do it justice. Or maybe I have to find out if there is a place that would allow to legally wed my yarn.I have always wanted to elope!
