Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Amanda's first show!
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2009/05/amandas-first-show.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Sunday, May 17, 2009. My daughter attended her first horse show today! She did great, First Place in Equitation, Second Place in Pleasure, and Fourth in ground poles. Is that a school pony? I know you're so proud :). May 18, 2009 at 7:14:00 AM EDT. Yup, she's a school pony. Great little pony, I want to scoop her up and bring her home and save her from all the kids with bad hands and hard butts! May 18, 2009 at 7:29:00 AM EDT. Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Where I've Been
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2010/07/where-ive-been.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. There's an echo in here. I think I see one little face way in the back. Hi there! I'm still here, sort of, but in a much different place than I was when I started this blog. The story goes like this. Was I looking for work? I had an interview the next day (a Friday), which wasn't really an interview but more of a "We need you, will you please work for us? And started on Monday. So in case you thought I fell off the face of the earth, I h...

Just a Northern Girl: Lists on lists
http://www.northerngirl.org/2015/03/lists-on-lists.html
Just a Northern Girl. Welcome to the Northland. Monday, March 23, 2015. A cat is sitting on my “book of all things” so I will not access my to do list until he moves. This could take a while. I find having everything in once place is a bit disconcerting, too, however; after leaving my previous book on a counter overnight, a cat peed on it. Yes, the cats are assholes. And Yes, the Cleaning Of All The Things is a never ending activity in my house. Maybe I like me some internets. And thus a project was born.

Bringing Home Sammy: It had to happen sometime...
http://bringinghomesammy.blogspot.com/2009/04/it-had-to-happen-sometime.html
Friday, April 10, 2009. It had to happen sometime. Well as a mother it is hard to hear her cough, but as a barn owner with other horses to worry about it is REALLY hard to hear her cough. Although no one else seems to be showing any symptoms it still worries me. Her appetite is good and she still gets out in the field and runs with the rest of the bunch. Labels: Bringing Home Sammy. Just a Northern Girl: Not gonna happen
http://www.northerngirl.org/2015/02/not-gonna-happen.html
Just a Northern Girl. Welcome to the Northland. Tuesday, February 10, 2015. On Sunday night, I was happily sitting in my chair, working through a particularly difficult spot in a crochet pattern, when the oldest of the five cats currently on the homestead horked up his supper on the dog’s bed, looked at me as if to say What? I had to get Chad to clean it up because Christ on a Crutch there was no way I was getting within 20 feet of that…that…worm? And since I had her on the phone (and had to make a trip ...

Dancing the Waltz With Henry the Horse: December 2008
http://dancingwithhenry.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Dancing the Waltz With Henry the Horse. I decided to create this blog as a way to keep track of my training goals and notes with my 12 year old QH gelding, Henry. He's a great guy, and I'm doing my best to make him the best darn dressage horse I can - on a limited budget, with limited time, and with the best combination of patience and dedication that I can muster. Monday, December 29, 2008. Hooray and THANK YOU! My blog was chosen as winner of the Behind the Bit Anniversary contest! First off, Merry Chr...
