http://thefishlineonline.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Homeland Ministry Assignment (HMA) is coming FAST! Okay so apparently I'm a slow processor of all sorts of things such as feelings, decisions, and reality checks. But as I'm thinking about her departure, I also am realizing that -EEK-. I too will departing Uganda this year (in December), and it is nearly the end of August! And yet how can I plan for Christmas and those months in the USA when I'm still in the first week of the new school year? Last time I was in the USA, I had an...

The Fishline Online: July 2012
http://thefishlineonline.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 29, 2012. Along highways and byways. On Friday, July 13th, Jean Komline arrived for a 6 week visit to Uganda. She has been a WGM Volunteer in the past and we adore her. Because she asked for a trip north to visit our missionaries in Arua (8-9 hrs. drive northwest), we all worked out a road trip. Which began on the 14th! Upon reaching Arua, we all stayed with Scott and Meg Rambo, Kelly's brother. Those NJ folks are cool! Note: yes, I'm originally from Jersey too). ;). Rambo's have several ani...

The Fishline Online: Mangoes!!
http://thefishlineonline.blogspot.com/2012/07/mangoes.html
Wednesday, July 11, 2012. On the way back to Kampala from Murchison, we stopped at one of the fruit vendors along the roadsides and picked up about 15 lbs. of mangoes. Both Anna’s are gourmet cooks (I certainly am not! And we recruited Delight Hopson (and her kitchen) for a day we cooked up a storm! It was quite an enjoyable day, and I learned a lot of recipes! Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Missionary Kids Hanging Out. We went to camp for Memorial Day weekend. It was great! Who wouldn't love the sand, water and friends there? Sunday night my cousins, Caleb and Seth, came. I love playing with them. I am the little guy right now, but once Benjamin gets here I won't be the littlest. We 3 boys have a lot of fun together now. We don't fight over toys as much as we used to, and we actually play together now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Other Missionary Pages to Check Out.

By different I don't mean weird or strange, they are all great. Any way, we are in Jackson, MS visiting our friends from Wesley Biblical Seminary. And from Bellwether Church. Talking with Timbo: October 2010

Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Getting Ready and Being Prepared. One of the things that is not as fun is getting shots. To go to Uganda I need to get six shots that I wouldn’t need here in America. I have had three and will continue to get more as we get closer to leaving. To be ready to serve Jesus we need to be prepared. What are some ways you prepare for serving Jesus? Are you reading your bible so that you can know God better? Do you pray for your friends who do not know Jesus? Friday, October 1, 2010.

Sunday, May 22, 2011. Different, Not Bad, Just Different. We are here safely. We have been praying for a long time that Jesus would get us here and He answered our prayer! He is amazing. We are in the capital city for a week trying to get used to a new time zone. Did you know our day starts 7 hours earlier than yours? So that means I have to teach my body to wake up earlier, go to bed earlier, and eat at different times. I think I am getting the hang of it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Different, Not Bad,...

Talking with Timbo: March 2010

Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Baking with Grandma Laurie. The other day Grandma Laurie was in the kitchen busy making rolls. Her church, Trinity United Methodist. After she made little balls she put them on a tray. I, of course, also wanted to put some on a tray. Grandma would not let me put my dough balls on her tray (something about other people eating hers or germs or something.), but she gave me a tray to put mine on. It is fun to help. Are you a good helper? Do you offer to help when you can? It's a go...
