Bullets,Bandages & Lard: Action Station!
http://bulletsbandagesandlard.blogspot.com/2015/06/action-station.html
Bullets,Bandages and Lard. Wednesday, 17 June 2015. Having started the latest pint-sized Chain of Command campaign "Old Hickory" against new oppo Ian (this time I get to play as Germans), I saw in one of the scenarios there is a train station. I've already got a lot of Normandy buildings for 15mm but don't have a station so I set out to add one to the collection. The kit arrived next morning from Wales and I set about putting it together. Next came a heavy drybrush of the walls. The windows with the ...

Napoleon complex gaming: First post
http://napoleon-complex-gaming.blogspot.com/2015/03/first-post.html
A blog about wargaming, miniatures and military history. Narva 1700: A Black Powder Scenario. Bolt Action scenario: Ramelle 1944. Wednesday, 18 March 2015. Here we go. After long deliberation and much procrastination I have finally got around to setting this blog up. This is the logical next step, given that I've been actively posting pictures of my toy soldiers and stories of their exploits on various forums for many years now. I intend to continue this trend via this blog. Altar of Freedom: Seven Pines.

A blog about wargaming, miniatures and military history. Narva 1700: A Black Powder Scenario. Bolt Action scenario: Ramelle 1944. Monday, 20 April 2015. Altar of Freedom: Seven Pines. On Saturday Antti, Samuli and I gathered at the club to play the battle of Seven Pines with the Altar of Freedom rules. This battle was fought for the control of the Confedereate capital Richmond, which was being threatened in May 1862 by a huge Federal army led by general McClellan. Federal generals surveying the battlefie...

Bullets,Bandages & Lard: May 2015
http://bulletsbandagesandlard.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Bullets,Bandages and Lard. Monday, 4 May 2015. Jonny and the Diggers (part 2). View from the Anzac approach. There's about a 20"(50cm) rise from the near edge to the top of the slope. I already had a plan in mind of how I wanted the table to look. 6' x 6'. A long sloping rise, based on two foot square tiles with a cloth overlay. Gallipoli is surprisingly much more verdant than would first be assumed with plenty of vegetation (cotton bushes, long grasses and even pine trees! I'll be trying to make the dry...

http://stoessi.blogspot.com/2015/07/angry-looking-dude-from-heer46-nocturna.html
Donnerstag, 16. Juli 2015. Angry-looking dude from Heer46 and Nocturna Models. So, I have prepared two new projects to work on. First, this angry little dude from Heer46 just hit my workbench:. And second, a 70mm miniature from Nocturna Models: Luna's Soldier. I'll just call her Luna and she is going to be my next shot at a showcase level paintjob. Diesen Post per E-Mail versenden. STOESSI'S HEROES: Juli 2015

Donnerstag, 30. Juli 2015. Next Heer46 guy rolls off the workbench. My next German is ready. Really love those Heer46 minis. Very much to the dislike of my wife who'd rather see me continue working on the pirate bust from the workshop with Fernando Ruiz. Oh well, so many miniatures, so little time to paint them. Here are a few more pictures from various WIP stages:. Diesen Post per E-Mail versenden. Donnerstag, 23. Juli 2015. Painting Workshop Review - Pirates, Ham and BBQ with Fernando Ruiz. Both aspect...

STOESSI'S HEROES: Zombicide Officer Phil
http://stoessi.blogspot.com/2015/06/zombicide-officer-phil.html
Sonntag, 28. Juni 2015. Officer Phil is finally done. Hope you like him. No special effects like Amy's pantyhose pattern on this one here. The black trousers were a good exercise though as black and white are always a bit more challenging to get right. The next survivor that I started painting yesterday also wears black trousers AND a white shirt. Let's see how he will turn out, but for now let's get to the pictures:. And a few more WIP pics at different stages of the process:. 28 Juni 2015 um 06:08.

Tabletop Mog: Napoleonic Goodness
http://tabletopmog.blogspot.com/2015/07/napoleonic-goodness.html
Saturday, 11 July 2015. This morning I popped down to the Polly to join Quint and Ade. My Prussians were too late arriving today to appear on the table, but hopefully will get an airing soon. The battle did not get too far as there was quite a bit of debate (all positive and constructive), and explanation of concepts. however, an enjoyable way to spend a few hours on a Saturday! 14 July 2015 at 08:54. 6 September 2015 at 08:39. What are these rules all about then? 6 September 2015 at 08:40. The Men Who W...

Medieval Spain: El Cid. A Grab Bag of Games. 8230;A Few Good…errr.Chosen Men. January 19, 2017. February 28, 2017. One rule set that has been on Osprey’s release list for a while has been their Napoleonic skirmish system, Chosen Men. The rules don’t cost much and they promise an easy one stop system for quick pick up and play Napoleonic skirmishes…so how do they look. Showing the actual rules and a flick through and it’s worthwhile checking it out to see what it is you actually get. However, the troop pr...

A blog about wargaming, miniatures and military history. Narva 1700: A Black Powder Scenario. Bolt Action scenario: Ramelle 1944. Thursday, 30 April 2015. Black Powder: Battle of Gorodeczna. Our (= my) assessment of the situation is that the Russians had suffered proportionately far worse than the Austro-Saxons, yet were in a position to withdraw their army and regroup a still battle worthy force. The Austro-Saxons had failed to destroy the Russians or prevent them from withdrawing, yet they had put ...
