Thursday, November 13, 2014. Vancouver in the summertime! We finally made it out to Vancouver during the most beautiful time of the year, summer! And it was heavenly! We booked a condominium on Vancouver Island in a little town called "Sooke". To get there, we took a huge ferry over to Victoria, the main city on the island. A little nippy on the ferry! These are all the cars parked in the belly of the ferry. Pretty amazing! The beautiful parliament building that houses the government. We had a great time...

Michigan Musings: October 2013

http://www.secondwindgranny.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 31, 2013. Fall travels to Utah and Northern Michigan. October was a beautiful and fun month! It started early with a week long trip to Utah to see family. I was able to see all my sisters, mother, and James too, who drove down from Rexburg to spend the weekend with me! Stephanie, and Stephen. It was a lot of fun getting to know them, but I DIDN'T TAKE ANY PICTURES! But I was sure to get a picture of this scary Halloween tomato! Laura cut into it and look what she found staring up at her!

Michigan Musings: August 2013

http://www.secondwindgranny.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 30, 2013. August is here at last! In Michigan, August means summer is drawing to a close! Yes you heard that right! Just watch, when September hits, "someone" turns down the thermostat and it turns cold! So August is officially the last month to enjoy true summer. But this summer has been different - in the 70's most of the time. Now the normal Michigander loves that, but for me it means NO TOMATOES, yet! So you ask, "WHERE ARE THE PICTURES OF SAUGATUCK? WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? At the end of...

Friday, September 27, 2013. And I did fine in the inservice by the way! Another thought came into my mind, that he is very happy to be coming to earth to gain a body, and is accepting of the challenges that may be apart of that, and so I should be happy and accepting too! I knew then that Heavenly Father would help and bless Chopper and Kristy, and all of us, as we accept this child into our family. I wish I could figure out a way to download the music so you can hear it! I'll work on it! Ethereal templa...

Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Christmas 2013 in San Antonio. This is the Christmas we all got together! Originally we were planning on doing it in Michigan, but with Kristy just two months away from delivery, we decided to stay closer to her home. And since most of us had not been to San Antonio, we decided to give it a try! We were still able to spend time outdoors and enjoy some fun things! Pretty good that they are all in the picture! Aunt Adri and Grey! Japanese Tea Gardens-they were beautiful! I just...

September 2012 ~ Where are we now...?

http://adventuresofmadri.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Social Media Stuff Here. The most beautiful and majestic place we've ever been. By far Adri's most favorite city and monument. The most culture shock worthy and wonderfully diverse city we know. Our craziest, most intense story to date. Adri and I went standup paddle boarding for the second time in our lives. We've seen it before, including a group of people that went white water rafting on them. We said we had to try it, but in a more calm environment. Trip to Big Sur and Monterey, CA. Of course, leave ...

The Gastronomic Climber: September 2013

http://gastronomicclimber.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Life of a climbing cook. Sunday, September 1, 2013. North Idaho Man Trip. Seeing as this being my last summer in the great state of Idaho, or so I hope, my two roommates and I decided to plan a weekend trip up to beautiful northern Idaho. Packed up car for the road. Night shot of our first camp site. Q’Emiln Park (pronounced Ka-mee-lin). Some of the walls were marked with these blue signs for an easy find. Our first climb, a big chimney crack with bolts on one side. We had a lot of fun with this climb.

Life of a climbing cook. Thursday, November 14, 2013. Early Thanksgiving Feast. No turkey allowed…. After getting home from school one day I realized I had a missed call. It was from my old roommate who is now married. I’ve got a present for you, call me back! As I called him back, I was thinking to myself, what on earth could he possibly want to give me? So of course I want pheasant! We got to work instantly. Luckily my cowboy friend and outdoor roommate were close at hand to help. Homework? The finishe...

http://adventuresofmadri.blogspot.com/2013/09/first-triathlon-hopefully-not-last.html

Social Media Stuff Here. First triathlon. hopefully not the last. I just have to say, it was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. Yet, also one of the most rewarding. This is Amos looking all excited about the triathlon. He kept asking me why I talked him into it. I told him it was his idea, I just decided to follow through on it, and then hold him to it. Now he is already asking about when we can do another one. First transition for me, above, and Amos, with yellow bike. I was feel...

Second Wind Harvest - esperanto percussion & sounds

There is a tendency to think of percussion as crash, bang, wallop, but the equipment of Verweijen gave lie to this, producing rhythms often gentle but certainly hypnotic - the rustle of trees, bird cries, the lap of water, or was it simply my imagination. Peter Steptoe, Croydon Today. Job Verweijen, esperanto percussion and sounds. Good rhythm is what this world needs a lot of now,. Because good rhythm is the antidote for hate. This is the website of Job Verweijen, but is it really about me?
