There are activities every day. We're within driving distance of the Lake District so that means we can do some really fantastic stuff. On some days we go off-site, for things like paintballing, Go Ape, rock climbing, caving, watersports, mountain biking for the thrill seekers. And if you're after something even more extreme, we go for lake cruises, pottery painting, shopping and even golf! So what can you expect on the Venture? 0169; 2016 Sedbergh Venture.

Sedbergh School (Queen's Hall), Loftus Hill, Sedbergh LA10 5RY. 4pm on Saturday 13th to 10am on Sunday 21st August 2016 (8 nights). Anyone aged 14 - 18. How much is it? 260 (please see FAQ page for more info). How many people are going? We have 60 places in total. Are there still spaces? Yes, bookings are open and there are still spaces. It sounds fun but I don't know anyone else who's going - will it be okay? Lots of people come on Venture on their own, and it can be a bit daunting. But it's not that scary, because a lot of the Venture happens in dorm groups - so you'll get to know a small group of other young people and leaders very quickly. There are plenty of organised activities, so you won't be left on your own. I want to come with my friend - can we share a room and be in the same dorm? Can I bring my youth group? Very easy. A...

Who leads Sedbergh Venture? Boys' dorms are always led by male leaders, and girls' dorms by female leaders. The leaders are supported by a team of helpers, who look after the more practical side of the Venture - washing up, cleaning and setting up games for example. The helpers tend to be of student age, and also go through a DBS check before coming on Venture. Many are former members who love the Venture so much that they want to come back as helpers.
