Seen and not heard. Family issues. But not the funny thing my kid did today…. Laquo; book review. If you’ve never had children, you probably won’t have noticed it. If you are expecting your first child, you can hardly avoid it. By the time your second comes along, you’ll have forgotten it ever existed. Never mind; your second child will have to manage by copying the first, and if you have a third you won’t mind if they’re licking food up off the floor as long as they’re BEING QUIET! Seen and not heard. Family issues. But not the funny thing my kid did today…. Laquo; childcare books. Everyone have a good mother’s day? It seems your average mother will have demanded a lie in, breakfast in bed, a home-made card, some flowers (to exact specification), and a present (because flowers just don’t say it enough). Then, they’ll have expected to be taken out for lunch (restaurants have special menus and book up faster than Valentine’s) and put their feet up for the rest of the day. Fill in you...
Mumsnet | Seen and not heard

Seen and not heard. Family issues. But not the funny thing my kid did today…. It’s had a spat with Gina Ford. Its members have had Gordon Brown and David Cameron shaking in their boots. And now it seems, serious newspapers are seriously asking whether this might be a ‘ Mumsnet. Come on, surely we’ve all heard of it by now. An online community ‘by parents, for parents’ (well, mums at least) brought together by the simple fact that they’re all, well, mums- is wielding a power way beyond its real worth.

Seen and not heard. Family issues. But not the funny thing my kid did today…. Laquo; Mother’s Day. Election manifestos- 1. Labour. In a new report, the School Food Trust has warned that nurseries are giving children food that is too high in sugar and salt and not providing young children with the correct nutrients they require. Strict guidelines are in place to ensure schools provide nutritious food, but regulation does not extend to nursery settings. Feed You can leave a response. From your own site.

Seen and not heard. Family issues. But not the funny thing my kid did today…. Manifesto 2: The Conservatives. Election manifestos- 1. Labour. This week we will be looking at the manifestos of the main parties. Yes, I have been reading them. The fun I’ve had. I will limit myself to those policies that directly affect parents with pre-school children. First, strictly in the order that the manifestos were launched, we have the Labour Party. Toppical Observations: Old Pros
http://toppical.blogspot.com/2010/04/old-pros.html
My thoughts on things that I see. Saturday, 10 April 2010. Further to my post last week about. I've done a little research. Since I'm normally in action myself on a Saturday afternoon, I don't get to see the show, but ti seems they're all at it. My favourite quote; "He's up and down the wing like a fish up a tree.". Toppical Observations: February 2010

My thoughts on things that I see. Tuesday, 16 February 2010. Instant Expert (Just add telly). During the Olympics everyone becomes sport obsessed. Personally I find it weird how I become totally engrossed in sports that I didn't even know existed. In the current Winter Olympics I've found myself enthralled by the mens and womens snowboard cross, the ski jump, the luge and the moguls. Each of those sports has probably had about 5 minutes air time on Ski Sunday. Is onto a loser from the off. How the story ...

Toppical Observations: Incompetence is endearing?

My thoughts on things that I see. Saturday, 3 April 2010. This saturday Chris Kamara was sent to cover the Pompey vs Blackburn game for Sky Sports News. To save me explaining what happened, you should now watch the embedded video. Now, I don't know about you, but I thought this was pretty funny, as did Stelling, Kammy and co, but why? If Jeff Stelling encountered this on his other show. It'd be met with a different response. Susie Dent in dictionary corner, can you beat a six? Hold The Front Page.

My thoughts on things that I see. Saturday, 20 March 2010. Media Content and Pay Walls. With the ongoing debate about paywalls and imminent introduction of one by Robert Maxwell, I thought I'd take a look at what content is currently available from some of the other large media outlets. I'm looking at this purely from a sports viewpoint, as an example of what's available to you, the average internet user. Thursday, 11 March 2010. An old 'un, but a good 'un. My thoughts on things that I see. Thursday, 11 March 2010. An old 'un, but a good 'un. Three men: an editor, a photographer, and a journalist are covering a political convention in Miami. They decide to walk up and down the beach during their lunch hour. Halfway up the beach, they stumbled upon a lamp. As they rub the lamp a genie appears and says "Normally I would grant you three wishes, but since there are three of you, I will grant you each one wish.". Sounds about right doesn't it? My thoughts on things that I see. Thursday, 28 January 2010. Snapped With My Blackberry: Sinister Black Child's Wig. There's nothing like a bit of passive racism to shift units of a Halloween novelty wig! This horrific grammar does a brilliant job of implying that this wig is only for sinister black children. Surely upon proof reading it should have become Child's sinister black wig. Tuesday, 26 January 2010. Best Onion posts of 2009. Monday, 25 January 2010. Snapped With My Blackberry: Chinese Democracy.

Seen and Not Heard. Children should be seen and not heard. Silence is a woman's best garment. Aren't proverbs great? But I'm done with being quiet. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Well I haven’t checked I’m logged on as them right now so I can’t see permissions do you think I should log on so I can check that? I ask the people present at the solution We know how to get around that in the future? I’d really like to know people who can actually do that they say they can do. Posted by Tam @ 9:21 PM.
