So, about Rhode Island... - Wombat Rampant

Just because I believe. So, about Rhode Island. May 19th, 2015 at 11:46 AM. Client had, per my advice, bought Peace of Mind coverage because of all the state returns, and filed a claim to get her tax preparation fees -for the original return AND the amendment- back "because Kevin must have done something wrong." Last I heard, Corporate was leaning toward paying the claim despite the objections of both the tax pros who'd handled it in the off-season.but it's not my problem any more. The Root Of All Evil.

Six Days Left - Not A Blog
http://grrm.livejournal.com/436370.html
Jul 25th, 2015 at 1:06 PM. Less than a week remains to cast a vote for this year's Hugo Awards. Voting closes on July 31, but it would be wise not to wait until the last day. Sasquan has already warned that its servers may overload if there is too large a rush of last-minute ballots. Remember, you can vote NOW, even if you haven't finished reading, and return later to change your ballot once you've read more. The ballot is here: http:/ sasquan.org/hugo-awards/voting/. I favor reading the work, and voting...

The Left isn't always wrong - Jay Maynard
http://jmaynard.livejournal.com/393640.html
The Left isn't always wrong - Jay Maynard. Sunday, 26 December 2010. 1414 - The Left isn't always wrong. I read the Power Line blog regularly. They generally have their head screwed on straight, unlike the Left. They do occasionally get it wrong, though, as in their posting on the FCC's push to adopt net neutrality regulations. They don't allow comments on their site, but they do occasionally read and respond to email. I sent them this reply, in the hope that they'd do that, but so far, nothing. This is ...

Took him long enough... - Jay Maynard

Took him long enough. - Jay Maynard. Wednesday, 27 April 2011. 0919 - Took him long enough. So, President Obama finally released his birth certificate. Now we can put the matter to rest. Personally, I've always thought that whether he was born in Hawaii or not - and I had no real opinion on the subject - it would never be allowed to interfere with his holding the office. Too much chaos would result if he were proven to be ineligible. Worse, the Vice Plagiarist would then be the Plagiarist-in-Chief. I ini...

SMS to Livejournal Gateway. Sun, Oct. 7th, 2007, 06:41 pm. I've deleted the last two posts and any rules contained within that affected, to my knowledge, no more than three regular users because they were attracting commentary from a wide range of people who have either never used the service or only used it once or twice. Sun, Oct. 7th, 2007 06:21 pm (UTC). You can put any restriction you like on it. Nobody can stop you. They can criticise you for it though. Is that really such a terrible thing? Suspici...

That was weird - Sky Writing
http://skylarker.livejournal.com/965441.html
I logged into my web host to upload the jpg for Cats-in-Space and discovered what seemed hundreds of stow-away files among my own - with titles referring to Seiko, Versace and other commercial enterprises. There were also several new folders like 'Shop' and 'Sale.' I deleted all the unauthorized files and folders and changed my password. I informed my host of the security breach but they had no more useful advice than password protection. Posted on Mar. 11th, 2015 at 09:58 am. Foot in the door.

Cool Nerd Queen - YALJ. Feb 25th, 2008 07:27 pm. Update: I took the previous test again:. This is a nerdier score than when I took it the first time. 2008-02-26 12:54 am (UTC). You nerd, you. 2008-02-26 01:58 am (UTC). That's "You're nerdmajesty" to you. 2008-02-26 02:34 am (UTC). Not a grammar nerd, I see. 2008-02-26 02:47 am (UTC). No, an exhausted one. The sad thing is that I "corrected" it. 2008-02-26 06:38 pm (UTC). If she had outscored me then, yes. 2008-02-26 02:34 am (UTC).

Stonekettle Station: Bang Bang Crazy, Part 4
http://www.stonekettle.com/2012/12/bang-bang-crazy-part-four.html
Don't just embrace the crazy, sidle up next to it and lick its ear. Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Bang Bang Crazy, Part 4. Wayne LaPierre and the NRA, the gift that just keeps on giving. The NRA claims that new laws won’t prevent gun violence. NRA logic being that laws don’t stop crime because criminals break laws anyway. That’s right, criminals break laws, so according to the NRA there’s no point in passing any new ones. So what’s the NRA’s solution? Sunday, on Meet The Press. Of this essay series).
