Wir fahren mit dem Zug bis kurz vor die Tore Londons, nach Brentwood, von wo aus unsere abenteuerliche Radreise nach Kent, in den "Garten Englands" beginnt. Unser Ziel ist es, bis nach Gravesend zu radeln, auf die andere Seite der Themse. Die nächsten Tage entschädigen uns - wir sehen Canterbury. Und bleiben in Faversham. Dem Ort mit der ältesten Brauerei Englands!

Donnerstag, 3. Januar 2008. Im Juli fuhren wir - mal ohne Fahrräder - mit dem Auto durch Süd- und Mittelschweden. Am ersten Tag ging es nach der Fährüberfahrt Puttgarden-Rödby über Kopenhagen und Malmö bis Växjö. Beeindruckend war die Brücke über die Öresundbrücke und die schlagartige Änderung der Landschaft vom Flachland in die typisch schwedische Fels-, Wald- und Seenumgebung.
