Do you think this:. Plus this (the simple skirt without the bustle):. Could possibly equal something like this? That is my sewing project for this week. It is Indie Pattern Month over at the Monthly Stitch. And this week's competition is all about Franken Indie. For my non-sewing friends Franken patterning is all about taking different patterns and merging them together to create something new. I used the Sinbad and Sailor Dove Fitted T pattern. You can check out all the other competition entries here.
A Tutorial - How to Draft a Pattern and Make a Zippered Purse with a Flat Bottom - Sew Together
http://www.sewtogether.com.au/1/post/2011/03/a-tutorial-how-to-draft-a-pattern-and-make-a-zippered-purse-with-a-flat-bottom.html
A Tutorial - How to Draft a Pattern and Make a Zippered Purse with a Flat Bottom. I do like a flat bottom on a bag or purse. It creates structure, turning two squares of fabric sewn together into something more. The whole really is more than the sum of its parts, I suppose! I quite like the idea of the sides being straight up and down, rather than angling out to meet the zip. So I pondered for a while and this is what I came up with:. I hope I'm not being too confusing! If I am, let's not worry too much!

Macca family: So clearly...
http://maccafamily.blogspot.com/2011/01/so-clearly.html
Sunday, January 30, 2011. I suck at schedules. In my last post I had scheduled to do the Kitchen declutter and organise further down the track. But with school starting again tomorrow - my mind has been trying to find things to do that somehow drag my mind away from lesson planning and the reality that I DO in fact really have to go back to work tomorrow. So anyway I started trying to sort out the pantry. Here are the before photos - sorry the first one is so bad - not sure what happened there. Well Char...

Friday, April 27, 2012. KCWC Day 4 - Disaster hoodie. This hoodie started as a bit of a disaster really. I only had just enough fabric and then I had to cut the 2 hood pieces separately, which was where things went wrong. Not thinking I cut 2 hood pieces both on the same side. DUH! Links to this post. Thursday, April 26, 2012. KCWC Day 2 and 3. Wow time goes quickly around here. I am nearly 3 days behind in my KCWC posting. Anyway the boys desperately need some pants and I love this. The pockets close up.

http://maccafamily.blogspot.com/2011/04/homemade-kids-clothes-swap.html
Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Homemade kids clothes swap. On TNN we did a Homemade kids clothes swap. I was given 2 wee girls to sew for. One being very little - only 4 months old and one being 18 months. I love sewing girls clothes for a change from the boys clothes I always seem to be sewing. So I knew I would have fun with this one. My swaps have been sent off but not quite received and I know they will be received in the next day or so. So lets hope the recipients don't look here. The weather at my place.
