Integrated Research Training Unit of SFB 834 Vascular Biology and Medicine. SFB 834 offers a special training programme for PhD students comprising:. Giving a broad overview of vascular cell biology within 2 years time. To train PhD students in a wide spectrum of techniques applied in cardiovascular research. With external guests to allow PhD students to meet international experts in an informal setting. A yearly Summer School. The Lecture series takes place once per month. Tuesday, 5-6 pm. Bld 25B, R31.

Der Sonderforschungsbereich 834 wird seit Januar 2010 von der DFG gefördert und untersucht, welche Mechanismen auf molekularer Ebene für die Funktion des Endothels sowie für Reparaturvorgänge verantwortlich sind. Project area A: Endothelial Cell Signalling. Signalling pathways mediating endothelial flow sensing and degranulation. Signal transduction by vascular NADPH oxidases in pathophysiological processes. The F-BAR protein NOSTRIN in cardiovascular development and function. The AMP-activated protein kinase in endothelial cell signalling and in cellular crosstalk in diabetes and atherosclerosis. Shaping the vascular network through FOXO and Hippo-YAP signalling. Ena/VASP, tip cell filopodia and vessel branching.
