Creating Sarah: February 2013

Friday, February 22, 2013. Moments: Dealing with Doughnuts. This is going to look like a Christmas post. That's because it was supposed to be posted at Christmastime. Still, it's a moment that made me smile, so bring on the Christmas-ness. Sparkles, our Elf on the Shelf, brought us pumpkin Krispie Kremes for breakfast. The girls were pretty thrilled. They don't get doughnuts very often. L, in fact, is still figuring out how to say it. Me: Say "doughnut.". Me: Dough.never mind. Someday she'll get it.

Easy swim cover-ups | Kathleen Sews
https://kathleensews.wordpress.com/2014/07/19/easy-swim-cover-ups
A portfolio of my sewing projects. July 19, 2014. I found some cute beach towels on sale last week, then went surfing on pinterest to find easy cover-ups that I could make out of them. My main requirement was that the towel was still useable as a towel… ie, it could lay flat. Plus, I only picked up one towel for my daughter and one for myself, so any two-towel methods were not going to work. Then I found this pin. Ignore the Olaf photo bombs, LOL, my daughter was not into posing! Two small hair elastics.

But there are other things happening. Like the fact that one of our favorite collaborators, Miss RaeAnna from Sewing Mama RaeAnna is having a sale and give-away over at her blog! Just click on the links below for more info! Maura Jean and Co.

Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Ruffled Diaper Cover Pattern. Mamma Can Do It. I think there is nothing cuter than ruffle bottoms on a baby girl, so lets put them on one :). Introducing Baby T 3. No saggy butt for Baby T. The pattern itself was easy to follow, nothing terribly tricky. The step by step tutorial was very clear. I really like that each size had its own pattern, that way you can print off just what you need and not worry if you are cutting along the right line. I also added the lace to each ruffle.

Friday, September 12, 2014. My daughter loves nothing more than a good pink dress. That spins. With no sleeves. So, here you go - a new pattern from Ollie and Annie. You can find the pattern here. This is a size 4 with no modifications. The embroidery, of course, is from Urban Threads. I can't even look anywhere else for embroidery designs. The corduroy is a 21 wale corduroy from Westminster from my shop. A Very Vintage Betty Skirt. I was lucky enough to sew The Betty Skirt. From The Shaffer Sisters.

Stick around though, because I have a treat for you at the end of this post! Last year, my youngest daughter wanted to represent Dia de los Muetros. So, this year, when Melissa from Rebel and Malice.
