On a vacation to Kenya in March 2000, I met Anne Wanjugu. In 1994, Anne started an orphanage called. To rescue Nairobi’s street children. Our initial meeting inspired me to make a documentary film about her life and the children whose lives she was transforming through theater. My husband was stunned: the baby is only the size of a grain of sand, he laughed, how can you be that hungry! We nicknamed our baby Sandgrain and later that year my son and Sandgrain Productions were born. And eternity in an hour.
