A Little Bit of Everything: December 2013
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Saturday, December 21, 2013. Last weekend, I spent an evening with Ellie and her parents. To my great delight, when I arrived, I discovered that she has learned to say my name! Turns out, when you hear "Karpen, hug! That's about what it sounds like - the 'm' isn't quite there yet), you'll do just about anything for the rest of the evening. Including laying on the floor and being a jungle gym. Okay, I would've done that anyway, but it was still too cute. Aww Night night, Ellie!

http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2015/08/out-with-old-in-with-new.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Monday, August 10, 2015. Out with the Old, In with the New. No, we've (finally) moved on from New Year's posts. This is a tale of 2 cars. No, scratch that. it's a tale of 3 cars. Who's going to turn down that offer? Good-bye, Stella. It's been nice, but this is what happens when you smell bad. Let that be a lesson to you. But know what's less awesome? My rental car was a Chevy Spark, and it felt like driving a toy. I kept waiting for a policeman to pull me over and tell me...

http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. You might ask. No, I leave that to the nuttier members of my family. I'm just very behind in my blogging. In August, I joined a few of my friends for what is becoming a traditional trek to Door County, WI for tent-dwelling, bike riding, beach lazing, etc. Also lots of food and lots of laughs. Here are a few photos of the trip. View from the trail. Mex tries her hand at paddle boarding. The crew on Sunday. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2015/08/happy-new-year.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Monday, August 10, 2015. Even if it is 8 months late. New Year's Eve was on a Wednesday night, so a few people stayed after meeting for a few games. Mom and Sam enjoy a friendly game. Kamela was never quite sure of the rules for the game she played with Adrian. Seemed like they were fairly fluid. Levi and Elinor get acquainted. Nice to meet you! Getting a little sleepy. Are we going to make it until midnight? Just barely. Hey Mom, I'm ready to go home now. The Downside of Snow.

A Little Bit of Everything: February 2014
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Thursday, February 27, 2014. Occasionally, a song just catches my attention. big and sweeping and dramatic. This guy does some really awesome a capella songs. Check it out. Sunday, February 23, 2014. Old Dog, New Tricks. Luckily, he is very, very patient. Turns out, I'm very. Good at turning right. In a war between my left leg and my right leg, my left leg wins EVERY TIME. Who knew it was so opinionated? I certainly didn't. I do now. Turning left on skis is not really an optio...

A Little Bit of Everything: March 2014
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Friday, March 7, 2014. You know how sometimes, you've just gotten the stage all set in your dream, and then you wake up before you find out how it ends? I don't remember what I was dreaming about this morning, but it must've been one of those good ones where I was anxious to see what was going to happen. To my amusement, after I woke up a bit more, I remembered my first thought after my alarm went off this morning: "Oh no! I just got all of my data populated!

A Little Bit of Everything: Extra Extra
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2015/08/extra-extra.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Monday, August 10, 2015. So is it even worth playing catch-up on here? It's August, and I'm still in the previous year as far as blog posts are concerned. Um, oops. Maybe I'll go with the brief version. One of our last year-end activities was a trip to see the musical Newsies. Highly recommend if you ever get the chance to go! But Karmen," you might say, "you say that about all musicals. You seem to like them all." Good point. But trust me on this one. The Land of Ice (Part 1).

A Little Bit of Everything: September 2014
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Saturday, September 27, 2014. Okay, forget going in chronological order. I'm hopelessly behind on here. But I have to share my latest Ellie-ism. Besides meeting, we had time for lots of other things too. We played, we ate pizza, we napped (well, Ellie did), we read books, etc. But apparently the meeting thing made the biggest impression on her, because when her parents got home and her daddy asked her what she had done that day, she proudly responded "I be quiet!
