A psychologist weighs in about knowing yourself, trusting your gut and becoming more resilient. Saturday, October 27, 2012. Binge Eating and Obesity: Overcoming the Need to Numb. Recently, I’ve seen an increase in overweight clients entering therapy. Some are verging on diabetes. For others, this is their last stop before bariatric surgery. Still others arrive after surgery, stating, “I know I need to get my head on straight if I’m going to keep the weight off.”. Growing up as an overweight child who was...

A psychologist weighs in about knowing yourself, trusting your gut and becoming more resilient. Saturday, October 27, 2012. This is a hard one to write. I could say I was too busy or have nothing new to offer on this subject. But truthfully, my hesitation about facing this column is that words feel inadequate, hollow, empty. How do we bear the pain? How does it change us? How can we thrive and not just survive? I don’t remember the drive home. At the house, in a daze I sat at the computer and G...Mark an...

A 12-year-old girl notic...

Stop Her She's Knitting!: Just Another Reason
http://debsueknit.blogspot.com/2015/06/just-another-reason.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. It was Brecksville Home Days this past weekend. All the fun and food are just a five minute walk down the street from Chez Knit. We might have had a funnel cake. Just assume that we are in training for the Geauga County Fair Foodapalooza that we participate in every year. We could hear the Eagles tribute band playing as we sat in our living room. We were able to watch the “mini show” on Saturday night from our upstairs windows. It will all depend on the rain. Bitty Bits of Blather.
