30 September, 2005. Fed up with anti-Americanism. A couple of days ago, an extremely narrow-minded "friend" of mine made the dumbest comment ever. "How can a American professor teach English literature? What would he know about it? I am not going to bother wasting words on how incredibly idiotic that comment is and how unimpressed I am with my "friend" for actually believing in what he had to say. They're always surprised when I respond with "No where, really.". Why do you say 'zee' instead of 'zed'?

09 November, 2005. Cycling in the South West. Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day (well, for November) so Miki, Neil and I went cycling for 21 miles. From Wimbledon Village to Putney and then along the Thames to Richmond then Kingston and finally back to Wimbledon again. We ended up extremely muddy but that just added to the fun! Okayno bikes in this picture. This was on our walk to Neil's place to pick up the bikes. Cute cat! I still prefer dogs. ;). Barnes Bridge (correct me if I'm wrong! Much fun...

27 May, 2006. Return of the board game night. After not having had a board game night since last October (I think), I finally had one again! It was the ideal activity for the horrible weather we've been getting in London these days. There was a great turn out - at one point there were 15 people in my flat which I think might be a record. 24 March, 2006. Swing at Duke of York's Square. I had a great day last Saturday swing dancing at Duke of York's Square. The London Swing Dance Society was dancing to help attract attention for the people collecting for the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal. Which raises money for cancer patient care. It wasn't exactly ideal weather as it's been so cold lately in London and we were freezing in the morning. The sun fortunately did join us in the afternoon. 22 October, 2005. Homesickness hit me for the first time (in seven years, my mother says! About a month ago so I got some train tickets and hopped on the train to Belgium last weekend. 13 April, 2006. I ought to be packing and sleeping (or sleeping and packing) before my holiday tomorrow but I am just too eager to show off how I am the most smug girl in the world! Anyone who knows me well knows that I love Snow Patrol and that I'm going to marry the lead singer, Gary Lightbody. Well.today I actually met Gary! 23 January, 2006. Taynor and I met up this evening for a quick Scrabble session and had what will probably be one of my most memorable Scrabble games ever! After about four turns each, both of us started complaining about our letters a lot. I decided to skip a turn whereas Taynor decided to trade all his letters. Nothing helped much.
