Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Work isn't opening until 10 am today, due to dangerously icy roads. It started snowing at 6 am yesterday morning, so roads were slick. Some people worked from home as a result. By the time I headed home in the afternoon, roads were wet and slushy. I headed home early because I knew, once the temperatures dropped, I did not want to be out. I'm working on the baby booties but I have to open a ring. Here's a picture (before things went wrong). Dad got a letter from his sister, ...

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. RolePlaying Game with a child and the rest of my week. Saturday, we played Mermaid Adventures. I've lost my tatting; both the bracelet I'd finished tatting and my TIAS up to Day 5. Jane has up to Day 7 out and I'm behind. Again. I'm tatting a heart from a Japanese webpage. To keep my tatting fingers busy in the meantime. I'm using Lizbeth seashell in size 20. I've been playing P athfinder Online. Links to this post. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. We played Pathfinder Society. All w...

Wednesday, December 17, 2014. What do you mean it's only a week 'til Christmas? I still have shopping to do. Okay, some of it isn't 'due' until New Years'. And other stuff has been ordered (it just hasn't arrived yet). There's still quite a bit of wrapping to do but I've already been to one holiday party, with presents distributed and received. State Fair entry update: It turns out the judge(s) may have been confused and thought. This is the turtle, with bead. I need to put findings on my latest bracelet...

Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Want to feel old? Try this little website. It calculates how many days you've been alive, what happened around the time you were born, an historical event that is closer to your birthday than today is, etc. The link takes you to my birthday, but at the bottom you can do your own or someone else's. Here's the bracelet I finished (in sunlight, so you can almost see the pretty beads). Sorry about the bizarre background. Try comparing the maps. I won a cape! Origami box, closed.

Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Hit me hard this week. Stress is part of it. My car died and budgeting for car payments is scary. This night though, tonight got very rough. C was out tonight, it's our separate night. That's cool. But tonight, on G someone mentioned reading the eulogies for a deceased colleague and wondering what hers would say, what contributions has she made. Sorry if this is disjointed. I'm not at my best right now. But here, it's my new nails. Links to this post. Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Thursday night we had a serious thunderstorm, complete with thunder, lightning, and hail. It shredded leaves and broke some branches but I didn't see anything more serious. CD and I did some final work on the dryer hose. We didn't need to pull out the dryer (thank goodness), I could sit on it and pull up the new hose over the old one until it was straighter. I finally got some laundry done. Links to this post. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Our new hot water heater was installed last we...

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Blog vs. Sleep, Guess Who Won? This past weekend, Fantasy Gamer Conclave. Went really well, They raised lots of money for the NC Autism Society. I ran Silverhex Chronicles. I enjoyed the flan at the noodle place, but when we got to the pub I wish I'd saved room. They had some delicious looking desserts. Eventually, I headed home, about an hour later than I should have. To make it worse, I ran into construction traffic and didn't get home until quite late (for me). Gosh, it's hot.

Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Not that it is set up yet, but I have it. My Dad and brother sent me birthday money to help me pay for it. C, R, and I went shopping on Monday. We each needed a new laptop so we went shopping together, taking advantage of the sales. Links to this post. Saturday, May 17, 2014. Signs of spring: weather forecast includes the pollen count. Signs of summer: it includes the UV Index. And my SPF starts at 30. Linda, Isdahara, and Charlene. Sights at the festival. We explained to the gat...

Sewicked: Gosh, it's hot
http://sewicked.blogspot.com/2015/07/gosh-its-hot.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Gosh, it's hot. I made my supervisor very happy on Friday. He asked for my help with a spreadsheet. It wasn't hard, just tedious and time consuming. I managed to get it done before I left on Friday. I wasn't at work yesterday, so I wanted it done and not have it waiting for me when I got back. Rose after a thunderstorm. On the bright side, I finished my edging and got it sewn onto my wrap. It looks.fabulous. I need to get a good picture of it. We had a great supper and conversatio...

Sewicked: "New" iPad
http://sewicked.blogspot.com/2015/07/new-ipad.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. I found an iPad at a pawn shop. It cost as much as 16GB iPad Air but it has 128GB. On the downside, my restore from backup screwed up. On the bright side, I did find a back up to use. It's 11 months old but it's better than nothing. I'm supposed to be running at a small con. In Cary in two weeks. I think I should read the adventure. I downloaded it to my iPad today. It's a great con for charity and I always have fun. It's great being able to take pictures again. I was thinking of ...
