http://nant-y-gloneedles.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 16, 2012. 10,918 stitches later. Captain Jack Sparrow is finished. I have packed my yarn scale or I could have calculated how much yarn I actually used. I went into the second ball of black and almost finished the ball of dark blue. There is quite a lot left on the other balls. He will be a pillow cover after we move. I just packed him away in his project box for the time being. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). How we came to be here. The Welshwomen who came before. Reindeer...

Nant-y-glo Needles: March 2012
http://nant-y-gloneedles.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 24, 2012. Wisp of a cardigan. This is merino and silk lace dyed by the KnitterMan, Knitivity. Gorgeous stuff and not one knot in a thousand yards. Very impressed. It just so happens that it is the same colour as my VW beetle. So what's not to love? I am knitting the Kid Seta cardigan from Cascade yarns. My apologies to Cascade for not using their lace weight as the pattern was a free download. Go Here. My sweet man will be accompanying me to Illinois and THAT is a testimony of devotion!

Nant-y-glo Needles: Training mode
http://nant-y-gloneedles.blogspot.com/2014/01/training-mode.html
Sunday, January 19, 2014. It's that time again for the armchair athletes to challenge themselves through the Ravelry "Ravellenic Games 2014" Too bad we had to change the name, the new one is quite a mouth full. I finished this shawl the end of December and so far this month I have knit 2 small neck wraps. And I managed to crochet another Sir Knight Helmet. So I think I am just about ready. I may try another neck wrap between now and the opening ceremony. Crazy Canadian that's me. Team Canada Go! Reindeer...

Nant-y-glo Needles: Pneumonia Prevention Vests
http://nant-y-gloneedles.blogspot.com/2008/03/pneumonia-prevention-vests.html
Wednesday, March 5, 2008. As I have mentioned in my blog, Myfanwys. A little charity knitting is good for the soul. I am well on my way to finishing vest #5. When I knit the first one I thought I would never finish. I wanted to purl a row all the time. Once I got my fingers trained it just flew along. I thought I would pass along some of the adjustments I have made to the original pattern. Sizing is not crucial. Of the finished fabric. Here is the pattern :. You have just created the neck opening. Nant-y-glo Needles: Kool Aid Dyed Felted Fair Isle Knitting Tote
http://nant-y-gloneedles.blogspot.com/2008/10/kool-aid-dyedfeltedfair-isle-knitting.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Kool Aid Dyed Felted Fair Isle Knitting Tote. This is a fun project and a great way to use up all that wool you have dyed with Kool Aid or food colouring. In response to a question on Ravelry: Does Kool Aid dyed wool fade after time? I give you my Kool Aid Dyed, Felted Fair Isle Knitting Tote. I used chunky wool ( 12-14 sts = 4") and I think a 7mm needle. It is crucial that you knit loosely to ensure that the yarn will felt nicely. When you have 3 feet or so of knitting compl...

Tuesday, July 1, 2008. A little flag waving here after all it is Canada Day or as we called it when I was growing up, "Dominion Day.". This graph was originally designed to be knit in white on blue background. Once upon a time there was this excellent hockey team.sigh. Thanks mom, I will probably use this graph for a sweater. July 1, 2008 at 6:59 PM. Thanks so much for figuring out this graph! Exactly what I was looking for! December 28, 2009 at 8:56 PM. December 28, 2009 at 9:06 PM. 6 Hairy Chemo Caps.
