http://katyhoyt1981.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 12, 2011. Wow Is anyone still out there? I apologize for the neglect. Most of you, however, are on facebook with me so you are more up to date than most :). For everyone else here is a brief account of our coming and goings. 1 Christmas at the Hoyt's. I made some new ornaments : ). Vega is suspicious of the tree. The dogs were unimpressed. 3 Nate FINALLY gave me some deployment photos :). The infamous "chicken" photo. Session One was brutal. Session two not so brutal. And there he goes.

All Things Hoyt: April 2010
http://katyhoyt1981.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 24, 2010. The backyard landscaping project has been underway since we've moved in. First Nate cleared the woods out to the property line. Then the fence was built.then torn down on one side, then rebuilt. Last Fall I consulted with a landscape company and before Christmas 4 tons of top soil were dumped into the backyard. Now I, alone, am reaping the rewards of all of our hard work :). A quick reminder of what the backyard looked like when we moved in. So, there we have it. Progress...

All Things Hoyt: The elusive garage
http://katyhoyt1981.blogspot.com/2010/11/elusive-garage.html
Sunday, November 14, 2010. Most of Nathan's time at home is spent in the garage working on the boat. One coat of epoxy may take a day or more to set depending on the temperature (warmer is better) so to speed up the process the garage is made as warm as possible. How does he do it? With all of this going on he was running out of plugs in the garage so he has one extension cord running back into the house from the garage through a cat door our landlord had previously installed. This way the garage door ca...

All Things Hoyt: April 2009
http://katyhoyt1981.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 11, 2009. Only 15 more to go. I know I should write some funny, witty blog but as most of you know from Nathan's emails He is the witty one. He has made it safely back to his home base once again but prior to the flight he was forced to shave his beard after he was told a few high ranking officials would be joining him for the trip. He looks forward to growing it out again on his next long mission. Things at home have been crazy, I don't know if I'm coming or going most days. Too much is ...

All Things Hoyt: February 2010

Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Step 2. Check. Okay, so what happened to step 1? I know, I know . Anytime I make a plan I am basically showing you how I WON'T go about doing something. It's like a reverse self fulfilling prophecy. I intended to get an upgraded computer system for the house first. And a treadmill second. The budget dictated my decision, however, when a used treadmill became available this week on my neighborhoods weekly email "yard sale.". Impressed by the mess? And would never do that, right?

All Things Hoyt: March 2009
http://katyhoyt1981.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. Meeting my first Blackhawk. Yesterday was spent at the Sicily drop zone here at Fort Bragg. Dad, I'm sure you have fond memories of this dz and the whole time I was imagining what you would have looked like paratrooping down :). On this particular day a few of us wives were fund raising for our unit by selling hot dogs and sweets to the rear detachment (the handful of soldiers in the unit who stayed behind) as they waited for their turn to jump. Six soldiers get loaded up. Prior...

All Things Hoyt: June 2010
http://katyhoyt1981.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 21, 2010. Where am I at you ask? I've typed up several blogs these past couple of weeks. None of them worth publishing. I haven't got anything to say that anyone wants to read right now. I'm in a funk, as Nathan would say. I'm not very good company either, I'm avoiding anything if I can help it. I've only actively sought out company a few times, I stroll over to a neighbors with beer and sit and talk for a while. Lately I've even avoided that. I feel like I'm on a crashing plane that has rig...

All Things Hoyt: 36 days left...
http://katyhoyt1981.blogspot.com/2010/11/36-days-left.html
Friday, November 26, 2010. And this year will FINALLY be over. Last week an entire glass of water poured onto my Macbook laptop. A few weeks prior to that I got a speeding ticket, ON FORT BRAGG. Now I've got a letter informing me of my mandatory court appearance for the "United States of America vs. K. Hoyt " where, I have since learned, my license will be suspended. Worst Year. Ever. 1 Nathan made it home safe from another deployment. 2 Our awesome house and a safe, friendly community. The Real Dog Blog.
