The original idea was just a flea market, but Sarah A had some pretty crazy ambitious ideas about having a fashion runway show and making it a ladies-only show. February 10, 2015. Last Saturday, I went for this workshop about hijab by my usual ustaz who invited 2 guest speakers. One of them was a doctor and the other one is an actress. As expected, the talk started with a reminder of why we must wear hijab, the histories about it, modesty etc etc. And then the first speaker, the doctor, started sharing with us about her journey towards donning the hijab while she was the only Muslimah doctor in her department and she has to wear a uniform. Her story was fine.
