After getting all our plants and seeds I realized I had a few empty spots left to fill. I went Shoal Creek Nursery,. I'm not sure if you can see it, but the crown of the plant is sticking up out of the soil about an inch or so. The guy at the nursery was very emphatic about this. The peas are growing. I promised updated pictures of the peas so here they are. I cannot believe how fast they are growing. It really seems like at least an inch a day. I'm hoping that Marc will be able to get the trellis built soon we I can start training the shoots to grow up before they start going everywhere. Peas on October 7th. Peas on October 15th. This is where I write about my life at work, at play and at home with my long-suffering husband Dennis and my sweet baby kitty Juliette. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. A couple months ago, I mentioned that a recent hail storm had busted the crate I store my BBQ supplies in and I was looking for a new, possibly greener, solution. I asked you for ideas, and got a whopping. zero. Zip, zilch, nada. Left to my own devices, I waited for divine inspiration. Awaiting inspiration from the DIY gods. And a storage bin.
