Saturday, December 03, 2005. It's true, finally after all these months of salivating over this thing it's here. She's lean, and mean and ready to get fired up. School is kicking my ass but i am producing some awesome shit, more on that in another post perhaps. Stumptown busted out with awhole lot new coffee and I have been really enoying the Honduras Mirador which is super floral and almost refreshing to drink. I also hasd some of Blue Bottles Honduran. Honduras Coffee is the new black.

So last week i took another small step (among many) toward opening/owning/operating my own coffee and espresso bar. i captured the internet domain name for the company name i want. THE BROWN COFFEE COMPANY. Cart before the horse? Maybe sure, the name hasn't been registered for business with the secretary of state. yes, i have yet to get money for the thing. and of course, naturally, i have no actual web site up yet. Just look at that. perfect espresso oozing out of the machine like warm honey. you can't really see the coloring details with my camera phone, but believe me, the tiger striping in the pour was in full effect. here's another one. I love that "bottomless" portafilter. it really gives you all the guts and glory of true espresso. one minor element missing or even slightly askew and you will. This is my world.

Tuesday, April 26, 2005. I am stoked about this awesome new place opening up really soon. I cannot wait to go down there and show my support. Coffee geekdom just hit an all time high for me. seriously. I went for a run today, to the cemetery. i ran for an hour. it's been a way long time for me so i feel somewhat satisfied and relieved that i didn't pass out on Piedmont Ave. Would have seemed odd if it had happened.
