Uniform rate for local letters. Some letters to neutral countries, franked according to the German foreign rate (20 Pfennig for a letter up to 20 grammes), are known. Sijtze Malda laat zich inspireren door waterrijke gebieden. Fysieke aanwezigheid daarin tijdens het schilderen is voor. Hem van groot belang.
