I am not going to sleep tonight, so heres a rant journal so I can praise myself, because no one else is online to do so. Bwaha. I hit it with my axe.

これはそこの家庭、いや (日本を含めたアジア圏に根強い血脈としての)家という身近でミクロな視点から見てみると、跡継ぎができて家系を継ぐ、そしてその跡継ぎが結婚して更なる系譜を降ろしていくという、血の存続の断絶という由々しき問題につながってくる。後述する古風かつ伝統的な風習が現在も存続する農村社会の中で血の断絶は許されないタブーであり、当事者たちが精神的に許容することが難しいものであろう同時にこのような風習のために、適齢期の女性が婚姻を敬遠するという、相乗的な悪循環の状態にもあると考えられる。これは本来国の基幹産業であるべき農業の衰退と密接にリンクしているため、国のあり方という視点から見ても、憂慮すべき問題と言える。また同時に農村出身の若年層特に女性が古い世代の上記のような生活を嫌い、都市への出稼ぎ移住を高度成長期を発端に行ったのも、農村の人口減少と背中合わせで進行した嫁不足を加速したものである。男子特に長男は跡継ぎとしての定住を周囲から場合によっては本人自身の自覚により要求され、田畑家屋血脈など総称して家を守る者としての役割を担わなければいけない。
