On 21 Feb 09 we fly from LHR to Beunos Airies, on 12 Aug 09 we return from Mexico City! This documents all that is happening in between! Saturday, 1 August 2009. Beginning of the route North! 8211; Rio Dulce and Livingstone. First stop on our route home was Rio Dulce. Riverside town, and home to lots of rich boat owners with its proximity to the Caribbean. Great boat trip through Canyon de Rio Dulce, steep sided and full of wildlife to Livingstone. Like a little slice of Jamaica in Guatemala!

Time to begin our last moves North into Mexico and begin the route home. Quite sad to say goodbye to the children at the orphanage and the various friends we have made. Our final Guatemalan destination. From the pretty town off Flores we took a day trip to Tikal. Avoiding the tour groups we set out with the Lonely Planet and our own fast pace to explore!
