When I got to work today, there was a notice posted that our health screenings for our insurance had been postponed. They had been scheduled for the next three Saturdays. There is only one reason to postpone them.we are going to be working those days. Not only that, I'm hearing rumors we will be working quite a few more Saturdays. Not that I'm complaining. I need the money. I'm just ready to move on.

The only redeeming factor of this week is that it is Shark Week. I've always had a thing for sharks (and wolves and grizzly bears). Because it's Shark Week, I dug out my old shark tooth necklace and have been wearing it. I didn't realize how annoying that gold thread would be, but I'm going to stick with it....

Chronicling the arts of my life. Thursday, August 06, 2015. I finally rounded up and turned the very last thing I needed to get my mortgage taken care of. Now we wait. I'm so ready to get into my new house. Beverly and James are going to give me quite a bit of furniture that they aren't taking back to Texas with them, so I'll be all set. A couch, a chair, a couple of cabinets, and an entertainment center so far. I'm knitting all this homemade yarn up into a giant scarf which I will felt when I'm done.

I managed to get in some grandma time while babysitting. I just happened to be wearing a brown striped shirt that matched Jet's brown stripes. He is very cuddly. I hear ya. The new one is adorable! On Monday they moved her to a physical therapy hospital. She will be there for a couple of weeks gaining strength and learning to take better care of herself. I have had the pleasure to attend a Major League Baseball Play-off game this year in Texas, referee a High School Play-off game, and attend an NFL Football game, but none of these games compare to the Arkansas-LSU game I attended Saturday night. I have never been a part of such a loud enthusiastic crowd! Sunday, May 24, 2015. Sketchbook pages from Australia! We recently spent 2 weeks in Australia, Sydney and Cairns, visiting a daughter and seeing this beautiful country. I filled many pages of 2 small sketchbooks. Here are some of them. Airport waits are great for sketching people. Only 2 of the 3 sisters made it into this sketch. The Opera House is so fun to draw.
