http://packfiller.blogspot.com/2010/10/waiting-for-snow.html
Experiences of a fake XC ski racer, ex chef turned SAHD, damaged Classical Guitarist, philosopher, beef eater, and cork dork. Monday, October 25, 2010. It's supposed to get down to 25F on Wednesday. I'll take another look at their webcam then. Hopefully it looks like this with the guns going full blast. This is what happens when you don't watch out for the soft fresh snow at the bottom. Iron-E: January 2011
http://seeandsigh.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Self Importance, Maximized. Sunday, January 23, 2011. So when I see that our friends at RTL Interactive have been making a biathlon Wii game, I start to get a little excited (the first twinkle that caught my eye was the re-release Goldeneye, which is the only "complicated" game I've ever been good at). Of it, not to mention part of the 0.0001% who has tried it. 2) You can pay extra "ski dollars" to prep in the Austrian wax tent before the race. Your hematacrit gets 10, but your "trophy room" is erased.

Iron-E: Osama
http://seeandsigh.blogspot.com/2011/05/osama.html
Self Importance, Maximized. Monday, May 2, 2011. You know, I hate to be the kill-joy devil's advocate, but I can't say that happiness was the first emotion that ran through me when I heard about Osama bin Laden's death. In fact I'm a little weirded out by the smiles of joy pasted across many of my fellow American's faces. Was Osama bin Laden responsible for this? Yes And to that effect, he should be held accountable. But where does joy enter into the equation? And what has this cost us? There's no way of...

Iron-E: February 2011
http://seeandsigh.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Self Importance, Maximized. Monday, February 28, 2011. In endurance sports, particularly cycling and running,. Caused by the depletion of glycogen. By precipitous fatigue and loss of energy.". I set the plan in action. I haven't bonked yet, and I'm determined to salvage what's left of this race. I'm passed for the first time by another skier. He's another wave 5-er like myself. I hear him coming up from behind me and turn my head to see who's making the charge. "Good job man! I know what you mean" he says.

Self Importance, Maximized. Monday, October 26, 2009. Part II: The Shoes That Were Destined To Fit. The spiraling staircase could have been likened to the soul-wrenching path down to the mines of Moria. With each new step all thoughts of the world above (and with that, happiness) faded, and the stale, dank air of the deep enveloped us. Without the flame to provide warmth and a semblance of bearing, we would surely have gone insane. We have arrived" uttered Havey. How can you tell? What about this one?

Experiences of a fake XC ski racer, ex chef turned SAHD, damaged Classical Guitarist, philosopher, beef eater, and cork dork. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Today was the City of Lakes Loppet trails day. More than a hundred volunteers showed up to help with trail preparation. Two difficult climbs and a flat section totalling 500 meters were added to the Judy loop. The whole loop is now nine meters wide over its five kilometer length so there's plenty of room to pass without stepping on poles.

I don't think they will be open for this weekend. But then again who knows? I've known these guys to lay down a 6" carpet of snow over the big hill in two days. I hope it sticks.
