a revolution without dancing...: February 2009
http://rlablance.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
A revolution without dancing. Is hardly a revolution worth having. Using the wonders of Google, Skyline Inc. has just released it’s plagiarism-detector 8.0. It can check Word documents, PDFs, and power point presentations, among others. Against any published source on the internet, using Google’s search algorithms. Sounds like a much better source than Turnitin.com – and it also looks like it would be one heck of a lot cheaper! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

a revolution without dancing...: August 2008
http://rlablance.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
A revolution without dancing. Is hardly a revolution worth having. More Challenging than I thought. I find it strange how much thought and effort I put into the title and the about me section of this blog. Upon reflection, neither look as though they were given much effort I suppose. It's odd that I would sit and contemplate both for such a long time, but then, I suppose those first impressions do mean a lot. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). More Challenging than I thought. a revolution without dancing...: Life at OGS
http://rlablance.blogspot.com/2009/06/life-at-ogs.html
A revolution without dancing. Is hardly a revolution worth having. Given that my internship for my public history program is already over half way complete, I thought it would be appropriate to. Share what it is that I've been doing. I'm working for the Ontario Genealogical Society (a real mouth full when you try and answer the phone! It is possible to move this machine, though it’s a tad on the cumbersome side – certainly not something to be taken lightly! Got anything you want digitized?

A revolution without dancing. Is hardly a revolution worth having. The Wonders of Digital Technology. I stumbled across an interesting Newsweek photo essay earlier today, which linked me to a Library of Congress exhibit. It's a collection of color photographs from Russia, taken between 1907 and 1915. Yes, I said. The Library of Congress has chosen to highlight certain images, but there are certain many more to enjoy - some of which you can see in the Newsweek article. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

a revolution without dancing...: Twitter

A revolution without dancing. Is hardly a revolution worth having. Twitter came up in class the other day and I just ran across this talk. By the co-founder about how the concept of instant updates came to be, and how it has evolved in such a short time. And while you're on TED, check out some of the other talks! Salut Maman: June 2014
https://salutmaman.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 23. Am going to pledge to write one thing everyday for the next year. In one day I turn 32, which means I have one year left of childhood. Papá says that Christ was a man at 33. I'm not going to give my life for a cause, nor is this about faith. This is simply a look at my childish life thus far, and a look forward into adulthood. In 397 days I'll be marrying the most beautiful woman in the world. I'll be doing this just 31, days after I become a man. That's all for now. I love you all.

Salut Maman: The Fuel Thingy
https://salutmaman.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-fuel-thingy.html
Tuesday, July 8. When we had the car looked at before leaving I had an injector replaced. Its the thing that puts fuel into the piston, as far as I know. At least, that's what Roberto told me. Or might have told me - he spoke quickly. I got a refurbished one cause it was cheaper, however it turned out not to be. Turns out that it was the refurbished fuel thing that was sealed correctly and . well, it's science and I won't bore you. Also, I don't really understand it. But, fully operational. You have foun...

Salut Maman: Chris, the headlight cover
https://salutmaman.blogspot.com/2014/07/chris-headlight-cover.html
Thursday, July 10. Chris, the headlight cover. We met Chris today. Chris speaks with his arms crossed for the most part. Not in a way that closes him off to conversation, but in a way that allows him to use quick hand movements to reiterate a point. Such as "are you here about my cousin's car you know the old Pontiac with the rear shift it's the one with the new tires it's over here I can show you." He had gestured towards the car fifteen times during this interaction. Insert significant confusion here.
