Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Scotland, Islay and Whisky. Lots of Whisky. Last September my brother spent time in London for work and suggested we meet him in Scotland for a stay on the Isle of Islay. And visits to some of his favorite whisky distilleries. Matt and I like whisky (although neither of us were knowledgeable enough to know Islay), so we said, Sure! Saturday, May 24, 2014. A few weeks ago, Matt was flipping TV channels over dinner and, quite by accident, stumbled on Eurovision. We were immediate sucked in by Eurovisions truly bizarre mix of music, from polished pop ballads to strange modern takes on traditional folk music. I have no idea how countries select their performers or the talent level of their pool of contestants, but some of their submissions were. ill advised, to say the least. making for very amusing television. Friday, October 31, 2014. Barcelona Day Trips: Montserrat and Sitges. From our base camp in Barcelona, we took two easy day trips: one to Sitges, a nearby beach resort town, and the other to Montserrat, a multi-peaked mountain with hiking trails and a Benedictine Abbey. Heres a bit about each trip and logistics of getting there from Barcelona. Located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast, Sitges. From the Sitges train station, a short stroll through the old town brings you to the beach!

July 1, 2015. Quinn- 5 months old. This past month went by in a haze called 4 month wakeful. I don't think I have ever been this tired for this long in my life. It's like I've done red eye flights the whole month. We are finally coming out on the other side of the wakeful period and I've eased up a little on the coffee and cookies that I used to get me through this month. I've always been fairly active but once I started my career as a Flight Attendant, I knew that eating on the go and an abnormal sleep schedule could wreck havoc on my body pretty quick.
