I am a terrible person. See a penny pick it up. I found a desk in the trash! As I do. Sanded, vacuumed, primed, painted (x3), distressed the edges with a sanding block, replaced a bit of warped and broken veneer with some paintable wallpaper I had lying around. Desk: found for free in the trash. Paintable wallpaper: already had.
