Sunday, 13 April 2014. These are some half hardy annual seedlings, dahlia Bishops Children, Morning Glory and Zinnia. On the right are Aquilegia seedlings. These tomato and chilli seedlings are in my 'inner greenhouse', which is my small plastic greenhouse inside the main greenhouse. At the bottom of it is a thermostatic tube heater, which keeps them warm at night. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Allotment and Vegetable Growing Forum. Http:/ www.allotment.org.uk/index.php. A Cook and her Windowsill. Tales of windowsill vegetable gardening and a tasty meal or two. Monday, 11 March 2013. We did get aubergines. Hmm it appears again that, as in 2011, I managed to start the year with the greatest of intentions in 2012, blogging a few times and then life got in the way and I didn't manage to keep it up. http://acookandherwindowsill.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

A Cook and her Windowsill. Tales of windowsill vegetable gardening and a tasty meal or two. Tuesday, 27 July 2010. The poor little tomato plant that took such a battering in the wind. When I first put it outside a few weeks ago seems to be recovering well. It's got loads of new shoots on it now that are doubling in size every day at the minute so it seems to be fighting back. I'm really hoping that it's going to come back from the brink and actually produce some flowers and fruits! Monday, 26 July 2010.

First the sunflowers popped their heads up, then came the red and yellow tomatoes (the yellow tomatoes seem to have done considerably better than the red ones with all of the yellow tomatoes germinating but only six of the ten red tomato seeds that I planted have germinated), a week or so later the aubergines appeared (very exciting! Why the smallest seed. Welcome to The Smallest Seed. We recently redesigned our site and simplified our message and our information. We have had people ask us why the change. It is for three reasons to do more to protect the identity and privacy of those we assist, to prevent manipulation of people’s feeling by saying too much about these difficult situations, and simply not to make the story about those that serve (and are served), vs. the One who sends help.

You wore your dark blue suit. Two tiny blue flags pinned to your lapel,. Your eyes bluer than I had remembered them. No sooner had I sat down that words started tumbling out. We are not so good at small talk. You and I,. We go straight to the hard things. Fear, failure, memory, melancholy. We dive right in.
