Welcome to the Goodale Family Musings. Monday, October 11, 2010. Camping with the 11-year-old Scouts. This past weekend our Boy Scout troop's 11-year-old Scouts and their Dads went camping. As you can tell from this extremely serious picture on the right, we had a good time! As for where we camped, we just drove north on the 55 for about an hour and turned off toward Sage Hen Reservoir. Just picked a nice little spot at the side of the road up near Cascade. It turned out to be a great spot!

Welcome to the Goodale Family Musings. Thursday, March 17, 2011. I really do tire of all the business travel that I do, but occasionally I get to visit somewhere I've never been to before, and I get to check out more of the great planet we live on. This week is just such an occurrence. I have been in Seoul for the past couple of days, a place I've been to. what. maybe 30 times? Seminar we're giving here tomorrow, sponsored by the Vietnam chapter. Check out the photo here. In all of Vietnam? I dunno. ...

Welcome to the Goodale Family Musings. Sunday, November 25, 2012. The Luckiest Unlucky Man Alive. I have to be very candid with you. With the level of sepsis that you have, for every six patients treated in the U.S., one survives.". After confirming my shivering, he told me, "No. Head straight to the hospital. We’ll pre-admit you and keep you at least overnight for treatment." OK then. By the time I got to the hospital, my fever had already topped 102F. By 6pm I was in the hospital, feeling extremely ach...

Goodale Family Musings: September 2013
http://goodales.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Welcome to the Goodale Family Musings. Saturday, September 7, 2013. The last couple of weeks have been pretty emotional ones for the Goodale family, with a lot of "sappy" tears shed. So let me explain: "SAPPY" is the word that I have invented that combines "sad" and "happy" (Sad hAPPY = SAPPY, but mostly happy). That being said, now that those couple of weeks are behind us and good-byes are said, I think we've transformed to Super hAPPY. :-). Brianna and Andrew on May 30, 2013,. I (John Goodale, Dad) ser...

Welcome to the Goodale Family Musings. Saturday, September 25, 2010. Last night was Centennial High School's Homecoming football game, and Brianna was on the Homecoming Court. She was escorted by her big brother, U.S. Army RNG PFC Christopher Goodale, all decked out in his Class A uniform. Don't they look sharp together? By the way, how did Daddy's Little Princess end up a senior in high school? It's so awesome to have kids that are so close, though! The pics are also available here on Facebook. There wa...

Goodale Family Musings: January 2010

Welcome to the Goodale Family Musings. Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Virginia, Days 2-3. While driving around in central Virginia, we were surprised at the lack of big roads there. It seems everywhere we had to go, there were just two-lane undivided highways - sort of tough to drive. It's no wonder they had such a hard time moving troops around in the Civil War! That are incredibly inspired - we ignore them at our nation's peril. There are also a couple of quotes from Madison that I like. He said that u...
