Trying to eat right, lose weight, get a life. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. I'd been inordinately proud of the progress I'd made in the last month. I have another two weeks to go for my two-month deadline and seven whole pounds to lose. Off to the gym RIGHT NOW. And oh. a giant bowl of gazpacho for dinner. 1 Chop all the...

http://palakkadcooking.blogspot.com/2012/11/7-cup-cakeburfi.html
Monday, November 5, 2012. Don’t get misled by the name 7 cup cake, no, it is not a cake rather it is a burfi – a soft one. It is something very similar to the Mysore Pak. It gets its name from the number of cups of ingredients. The measurements are very easy to remember: equal measures of besan, coconut, milk, ghee and 3 times sugar. I have tried my best to explain the various stages. In case of any queries please feel free to contact me. Makes about 25 Medium sized pieces. What you’ll need. Ghee - 1 Cup.

Palakkad Chamayal: Puli Inji
http://palakkadcooking.blogspot.com/2015/04/puli-inji.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Puli Inji is tangy spicy condiment in which the main ingredients are ginger, green chillies and tamarind. It is one of the main items served in a sadhya along with the pickles. It can be stored for 20 days when refrigerated and handled with care. Puli inji is one of my favorite items on the sadhya menu. Though it is a delicacy prepared during a feast, but really, you don't need any special occasion to prepare this. Puli Inji pairs beautifully with molagootal and curd rice. Now add...
