On anything and everything. Click here or on the clover leaf to visit our website. Thursday, 15 September 2011. We are now on the last leg of our Peruvian tour and have fetched up in this odd but beguiling place. Yesterday we spent a couple of hours wandering round the beautiful and peaceful Santa Catalina monastery. A small town within the town, where the daughters of wealthy and middle class Spaniards "retreated" in the fifteenth century. And who could blame them? What choices were offered them?

http://trifoliumbooks.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
News about Trifolium Books and their authors. Saturday, 6 July 2013. CAN'T DO MUCH ABOUT THE TITLE BUT . I THINK YOU'LL LOVE THE NEW COVER! I have just found this great- and fairly recent- review of Bride of the Spear. On Library Thing. I'd like to be able to comment on it but can't find how to do it- help anyone? Yes, the title is lurid, and the cover art is both lurid and non representative of any scene in the story, but then, those were lurid times. It's tough work building civilization. Shaped themse...

TRIFOLIUM BOOKS UK: From bags to bookshelves in six months: from paper to e-book in twelve
http://trifoliumbooks.blogspot.com/2011/05/from-bags-to-bookshelves-in-six-months.html
News about Trifolium Books and their authors. Monday, 30 May 2011. From bags to bookshelves in six months: from paper to e-book in twelve. My first memory of Kathleen was when a dog got into the playground and we chased it around as kids do. This young and exotic teacher emerged, scolded us and picked up the puppy. For all I know she adopted it: I seem to remember that she had a dog. Once. Exotic- well now what is exotic in a teacher? During the last few years there have been low points indeed, as the st...

Trifolium: A BIT OF A BOOB!
http://trifolium1.blogspot.com/2012/04/bit-of-boob.html
On anything and everything. Click here or on the clover leaf to visit our website. Wednesday, 11 April 2012. A BIT OF A BOOB! I have never been good with numbers- I am more of a word person- but I am by no means proud of my "number blindness", and have never been able to understand why some people think it's OK to be innumerate, as long as you aren't illiterate. Because of my inability to "see" numbers, I usually cut and paste them, which is what I did- or at least it's what I think. A BIT OF A BOOB!

On anything and everything. Click here or on the clover leaf to visit our website. Monday, 29 March 2010. JAFMHT- Just Another Medieval Hill Town. I like things to be on a human scale. When I enter a magnificent church, I am not. Reminded of the glory of God (well I wouldn't be would I? And of the insignificence of human life. Quite the opposite: I marvel at human endeavour and ingenuity throughout the ages. Why do people ask "Is this all there is? What more do they want? So what is this all about? What ...

We usually have a big family Easter party with at least a dozen of us in and around The Red House, hunting Easter Eggs and sleeping in every bed in the house, the cabin and the guests' caravan. Is a very important word in my vocabulary, and Quality. Is another, and for me, they go hand in hand. I have written about quality here. And it is the main criterion I use to select the books I publish. However, I recognise, seek out, and exploit Quality in all areas of life. When I find it I like to celebrate it.
