So Little Time…. I am thinking of classic aircraft…. Finnish DC-Association’s Douglas C-53C-DO (OH-LCH, c/n 6346) at the Helsinki-Malmi Airport on 2016-07-11. In pursuit of better image metadata I always try to tag my Twitter and Instagram posts with relevant parties, e.g., airline and airport accounts. For example, a picture I tweeted a few days ago. Shown below, I tagged with the Twitter accounts of PSA Airlines. I do this to “link” the photograph to relevant entities on the Web. So Little Time…. Getting to know Icelandair. Boeing 757-223 (TF-ISL, c/n 25295, “Öræfajökull”) at KEF on 2016-04-21. Despite having flown between US and Finland for a few decades now, up until last week I had never done that on Icelandair. Now I wonder why, since I discovered that the BOS-KEF-HEL route is certainly the most convenient way to get from New England to Finland. So Little Time…. Spotting an Antonov An-124. Skirting a storm on approach. Alerted me that an An-124 was due at KPSM (Portsmouth, NH) later that day (thank you for that! My youngest daughter and I drove there and were able to witness this huge aircraft arrive. The specific aircraft in question is an An-124-100 Ruslan (UR-82029, c/n 19530502630) operated by Antonov Airlines, a subsidiary of the Antonov Design Bureau. So Little Time…. Resplendent Curtiss-Wright Travel Air 4000 (NC6005, c/n 534) from 1928. The 30th annual Bowman Field Fly-in. Was held on August 27th and 28th. I visited the event on the first day. Bowman Field (B10) is a small grass strip in Central Maine in the town of Livermore Falls. There were dozens of interesting aircraft visiting, from a 1928 Travel Air (see photo) through 1940s Aeroncas and Cubs to more modern variety. I am definitely visiting this event again next year. For the discerning scale modeler looking for detailed information about vintage and contemporary aviation subjects. You're playing with you're friends on a computer game and other stuff. And if you're a kid you'll find it VERY annoying. Like chatting with some pals at work and then your break is over. It stinks.
