Double Chocolate Chip Cookies | Joy the Baker
http://joythebaker.com/2014/04/double-chocolate-chip-cookies
Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. April 16, 2014. It’s better to just let it be what it is. I had every intention of making you a fancy Easter brunch cake… the kind with lemon and lavender and swirly frosting… but as I stood in my kitchen (with exactly zero lemons), and evaluated my desire to go to the store (to buy hella lemons), I thought… can’t it just be what it is? I made these cookies for us. This is that. Softened butter is one of life’s great pleasures. I’m sure of it. This is how it all goes down.

Foraged Wild Garlic Pesto Pasta. You're on a romantic walk in the woods, you lean in for a kiss and then you smell it. Garlic. But it's not on your lover's breath, it's everywhere! My mum and I had recently bought some at a food festival back home so decided to have a go at foraging a couple of leaves to cook up in our self-catered cottage. This pesto is great served simply with a bit of spaghetti, but you could also use it as an alternative to tomato puree on a tart/pizza or mix with a big of yogurt and...

Brunch at Egg Break Notting Hill - Dutchess Roz
http://www.dutchessroz.com/2015/08/brunch-at-egg-break-notting-hill.html
Brunch at Egg Break Notting Hill. I have egg-cellent news for brunch lovers in West London; there’s a new hot spot in the area! Egg Break opened in July and is a joint project between Soho House and the team behind the Hoxton Hotel. They’ve teamed up before with winning places like Hubbard and Bell. Egg Break’s menu (as the name might suggest) is all about eggs! But all the options are pretty cracking! I ended up going with the broken eggs with chorizo, roast tomato and spring onions and my friend got th...

Bearded Cupcakes - The Bearded Bakery

Cupcakes & Muffins. May 12, 2013. May 12, 2013. This is a recipe from January 2012, so apologies if it’s a bit rusty. So I had been back from Australia for around a month. I’d made the call to stay in the UK rather than return down under. I was living at home with my parents, and as a result had a lot of time to myself. Any time I didn’t spend job-hunting, was time spent by myself. So I found myself baking a lot. It was January, what else is there to do? 130 grams (2/3 cup) granulated white sugar. Put yo...

Step into 18th century London at Osterley Park | Urban Pixxels

Travel and Lifestyle Blog and Photography. Step into 18th century London at Osterley Park. August 3, 2015. Save this for later. Until recently the only way I knew Osterley was as one of the many stops on the Piccadilly line to Heathrow. It’s when you know you’re not in zone 1 or 2 anymore because you’re above the ground (and can use your phone). I never thought any of these stops would be worth exploring, but then I saw Jess’ post. Save this for later. Save this for later. Save this for later. What makes...

#STFFcooks – A week at Ashburton Cookery School – Sam The Food Fan
http://www.samthefoodfan.co.uk/stffcooks-a-week-at-ashburton-cookery-school
My Restaurant Bucket List. STFFcooks – A week at Ashburton Cookery School. May 18, 2015. My passion for cooking seems to grow by the day. I’m a fairly competent cook, but I am completely self-taught and things I don’t know how to do, I turn to YouTube for! A perfectly adequate medium to learn all manner of new skills, but I really wanted some hands-on experience and tips from a professional. For a couple of years, I’ve been talking to The Better Half (TBH) about doing. Such a sad sap, aren’t I? Paysanne ...

Saturday, 31 January 2015. ATE AT: The Riding House Cafe, Great Titchfield Street. Recommended this little gem. To me and I cannot thank her enough! Unfortunately, I didn't have a big enough stomach to try the pancakes as well as everything else Emily and I ordered. Having heard such good things from numerous people about The Riding House Cafe. We were very excited to arrive. I absolutely love the bare brick, the shared tables and the general feel of the place. We had the nicest bircher muesli, to share.
