Temperate Zone Tasmania was established in 2003 after taking over the Tasman Gazette newsletter a community publication which covered the Tasman and Forestier Peninsulas in Tasmania’s South East. The newsletter had been produced and distributed by a team of dedicated volunteers for approximately 22 years. Half way between Dunalley with the school, police station and Neighbourhood House to its’ north and Eaglehawk Neck and its’ views, beaches, swimming and fishing to the south. New hall puts heart Back into Dunalley. How right they were, when the devastating bushfires of January 2013 destroyed the town of Dunalley taking with it the communities local hall, it was immediately determined that the small community would not be complete and recovery would not be whole until their beloved hall was reinstated. Festival of Voices Returns to East. Last year the Festival of Voices unplugged itself from its city base thrilling audiences the breadth of Tasmania’s stunning East Coast. A joint initiative between organisers of the Festival of Voices and Glamorgan Spring Bay Council, the inaugural event was a resounding success, so much so that it is once again heading East in July from 17th – 19th bringing with it a sensational smorgasbord of musical talent.
