Irma L. Olguin Jr. Raquo; Congratulations, Scholarship Winner. Congratulations, Scholarship Winner. This post is scheduled to publish on Thursday, but I’m writing it much earlier than that. I met Shelley in 2007 when I moved back to California to teach outdoor environmental education after (finally! Completing college. We worked together at Sierra Outdoor School. She served as an inspiration and guide during the time when we worked together, and she still fills these roles in my life though we are in sparse touch and live far apart.
