Who was Demas? | live from thessalonica
https://demas.wordpress.com/2007/02/04/who-was-demas
Exile lost in wonder. February 4, 2007. I was asked elsewhere why I go under the nom de plume of “Demas” – and I’ve noticed a number of people getting here by searching for the Biblical “Demas”. So what’s the deal? Demas is mentioned only in passing in three small passages – Colossians 4:14. Where Paul mentions him as a fellow worker, and 2 Timothy 4:10. Where Paul, alone in his prison cell, writes:. Demas is someone I emphathise with for a number of reasons (some a bit too personal for the Internet).

RIP TNIV (c) Zondervan | live from thessalonica
https://demas.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/rip-tniv-c-zondervan
Exile lost in wonder. RIP TNIV (c) Zondervan. September 2, 2009. The announcement that Biblica (aka International Bible Society) and Zondervan (aka Rupert Murdoch) are withdrawing the TNIV Bible from sale. And will, in a couple of years, update the older NIV is just a small reminder:. You do not own your Bible. You own the physical paper it is printed on, you own the ink. You own the cover. The text itself is owned by the translator and publisher, and you have a limited right. September 3, 2009 at 2:22 am.

Exile lost in wonder. Eeeek: The American Patriot’s Bible. June 6, 2009. Thomas Nelson, “the world’s largest publisher. Of Bibles in English” now publish The American Patriot’s Bible. Where Eugene Cho disapprovingly notes:. The Lord’s statement that Moses is faithful in all My houses (Num. 12:7) calls for a boxed quote from Grover Cleveland about how the teachings of Christ results in the purest patriotism. Interestingly, there are more posts than bloggers which means that some bloggers have been more than compensating for the fact that I haven’t posted here since the end of 2007. After all, true Christianity is first and foremost about the quality of relationships – everything else is hot air. December 17, 2007.

https://demas.wordpress.com/2009/08/30/modern-evangelicals-are-lukewarm-universalists
Exile lost in wonder. Modern evangelicals are lukewarm Universalists. August 30, 2009. Most modern Christians are very reluctant to talk about hell and when. They do they skirt around it with much prevarication and equivocation). They seem to have little problem talking about Satan,. Demonic possession and all the rest … Or do you mean the academic. Ones, not educated at American bible colleges? No, pretty much all of them. Satan, demonic possession is easy. Hell is another matter altogether. When you th...
