How It All Began. Kentucky Sound Down was created by Jennifer and Ryan Gray, after they realized it would be impossible for their young son with autism to watch a film in a typical theater setting. In 2011, Kentucky Sound Down was born! To provide free or low-cost entertainment activities and education opportunities, for families with autism and/or sensory processing disorders, in a safe, friendly environment.
