The State of The Blog Address. Ok, so I haven't posted in about a month. Life is filled with a lot of other things that take up my time. However, I do miss this place. So I was thinking about starting this back up again, but with some changes. While I still want to post about music, I'm also going to start posting on other things: sports, TV, movies, and maybe even a little politics. I want to cover all of the things I enjoy, not just one. It's been a while, but hopefully I can get this thing going again.

I released today how I've been seriously neglecting this blog. Bad Aaron. Bad. But alas, this week and next are my only two weeks of "summer vacation," so posting will be extremely light. After that, however, things will return to normal. In the mean time, I recommend the following blogs:. My Old Kentucky Home. You Ain't No Picasso. All of these blogs have great taste in music and I'm sure will post some great stuff. Posted by Aaron at 1:52 PM. Banjos are for Lovers. So the other day I bought a banjo.

Sufjan Stevens Live @ KCRW Video. So do people actually read these things on the weekend? Judging from my hitcount today (which is a lot lower than usual), my guess is resounding "NO.". Oh well, their loss. This has been short and pointless, so I'll offer something worthwhile to make up for it. Here ya go:. Sufjan Stevens Live @ KCRW. Real Player Required) (63.04MB). This is the video available for stream at KCRW's website, but streams suck right? Posted by Aaron at 2:56 PM. The One I Love (REM Cover).

If you're from the Northern part of Ohio or Southern Michigan, there's a good chance you've heard of synth-rock band Stylex. For those of you not "in the know," think Thunderbirds are Now! Or any 80's flavored dance/pop. Out of Focus (Thunderbirds are Now! The Best News (goLAB Mix). Wiggle While You Work It. From Out of Focus. They've got a MySpace. And a neat little website. Ah it feels good to be back. Posted by Aaron at 5:19 AM. Oh how long it has been. Posted by Aaron at 10:45 PM. IM me on AIM.

Tuesday, February 28, 2006. It's not easy to make new music sound old, but Houndog knows the trick. If you like Lowell Fulson's "Tramp" or "Pass the Hatchet" by Roger and the Gypsies, you will probably enjoy Houndog's song, "Cruisin', Pt. 1". This song was part of a Yep Roc sampler included with an issue of Harp. Houndog: Cruisin', Pt. 1. Friday, February 24, 2006. Silk Tymes Leather, Son of Bazerk, Jungle Brothers. Had some crappy singing on the album version. This is the instrumental from the 12"&#...
