About & Contact. 7 / 12 / 15. Strawberries came early this year – we had our first shortcake on June 7th. Since then I’ve made more strawberry shortcake, blueberry shortcake, and I’ve promised Sam I’m still going to make some lavender shortcake. Can you tell it’s my favorite dessert for this time of year? This is the recipe I use, I got it a couple years ago from the farm we were getting our CSA from. 1 Tbs baking powder. 1/2 tsp. salt. 6 Tbs chilled butter. Top shortcake with fruit and whipped cream.

Exploring the pacific northwest coast. Category Archives: Northwest coast. Westport sits on a spit of land at the south end of Grays Harbor, Washington. The town is surrounded by water on three sides making it a prime target when “the big one” hit. It’s now taken as a given that the question isn’t “if,” but “when” the Cascadia Subduction Zone will trigger a major earthquake and tsunami. The median household income in Westport, WA averages just over $30,000 a year, well below the state average of $58,000&...

Canned Ham Dreams: June 2014
http://cannedhamdreams.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 2, 2014. You know I'm always on the lookout for old trailers. Unfortunately, I seem to be driving when I see a lot of them, and am unable to take a photo. We did see this nice Shasta, a 1962 if I got it right (I'd had some wine). We were sitting in our campsite minding our business, when all of a sudden it came toddling by - with help of course! Later I found where it had landed, and managed to snag a shot. It sure looks cute tucked away in the woods! Sequim Bay State Park. Up, Up and Away!

Canned Ham Dreams: Mysterious and elusive...
http://cannedhamdreams.blogspot.com/2014/01/mysterious-and-elusive.html
Sunday, January 26, 2014. Not far from where I live, there is a person that collects trailers. He stores them at an old drive-in theater, and they are highly visible to passersby. I've never stopped to look, but NoJuan. On Flickr stole a picture of the entrance to the drive-in. And here are the trailers! I found this older picture I took a couple of years ago. Where did all the little trailers go? Hopefully to good and loving homes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Destinations - Vintage Trailer Motels.
