I've been reading an excellent blog. About beer and bread which has inspired me to take up proper breadmaking again, rather than using a breadmaker. My colleague lent me this book. And I've since made a sourdough starter, where you make a natural leaven from wild yeast floating about in the air, which gives the bread a sour sort of taste. I made my first bread using this as well as a bit of dried yeast and some home brew the other day. First things from the vegetable garden. The beetroot has also started...

Get in my head. or my belly. same thing. Here, there, and everywhere: our associative thinking (and non-thinking) processes, finally revealed. or: discourses on all things consumable and comestible. A life-changing book: getting off the corn. My sister just finished michael pollan. Which i had immediately foisted upon her after i read it myself. while she also cares about what she eats, she tends to be more of a skeptic when it comes to the muckraking ( fast food nation. By the way, this doesn't make me ...

Chilepepper and spice: December 2005
http://chilepepperspice.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Hot food can be really cool. Friday, December 30, 2005. So, back in Sweden. And it is not at all nice. What horrible weather! But the summer sales just started! In Sydney that is. Oh, I'm not at all a winter person. I love summer, hot weather and light clothing. And now in the middle of all snow it feels like if Australia was just a dream after all. But we do have all kinds of evidence that we actually were there. What am I blabbering on about? Ok, back on track, but where to start? Posted by A @ 7:50 AM.

Chilepepper and spice: January 2006
http://chilepepperspice.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Hot food can be really cool. Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Nikka isn't too fond of shellfish. So when she's away for some reason, it is usually a good opportunity for Matli to cook something based on shellfish. Today was one of those occasions. I made a tomato and creme fraiche based pasta sauce with scampi, bell peppers, chile peppers and various other spices. It turned out to be super tasty. And quite hot as well. (Some Possible Side Effects sauce brought the heat to the exact right level.). Heat the oil ...

http://chilepepperspice.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Hot food can be really cool. Monday, October 31, 2005. This Saturday Matli didn't feel like cooking something advanced, and I (as always) didn't feel like cooking at all. But I could go to the store and buy whatever we could need, so all we had to do was to come up with a good idea. and so I thought of tacos! Posted by A @ 10:44 AM. Sunday, October 30, 2005. Little Bangkok, Linköping, Sweden. Vegetable, map and opening hours. Noodles, seafood, wild things. Posted by A @ 10:08 PM. By now we have very high...
