Laquo; Little squares quilt. June 10, 2013 by Helen. It’s a bit dusty round here, with a few cobwebs hang on whilst I have a chean up. Right, that’s better, let’s get on. I did buy a book, but I only read the first few pages and now I can’t even find it. Oops. There are some fantastic shots on there). Next up was a barn in a f...

Maple Corners: A Dash of Colour
http://maplecorners.blogspot.com/2012/03/dash-of-colour.html
Stories about life on the homestead, spinning, knitting, gardening, caregiving and whatever else comes up. Sunday, March 11, 2012. A Dash of Colour. I test knit a shawl for a friend. It is designed to use one skein of Noro or colorful sock yarn, but I did it in some barely colored handspun. That has been marinating in the stash for some time. The pattern is available on Ravelry here. These photos were the best I could do, as it has been very windy here. Spring on the prairie, you know. Hugs to you,.

http://maplecorners.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Stories about life on the homestead, spinning, knitting, gardening, caregiving and whatever else comes up. Thursday, January 27, 2011. This week's assignment for MCP Project 52 was a no brainer for me. Soothing repetition. Come on, what else was I going to photograph but my spinning wheel? Well, ok, if I could have gotten the shed door open to get my scythe out, that was also in the running. In the end, the spinning wheel won. Thursday, January 20, 2011. Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Let's talk Stash: Retreating, UK-style
http://letstalkstash.blogspot.com/2009/03/retreating-uk-style.html
A blog highlighting fiber pursuits of all kinds, and even some finished objects once in a while. Friday, March 27, 2009. I just got back a couple of days ago from attending SkipNorth, a retreat that takes place in Haworth, Yorkshire, England. I last went 2 years ago, and missed it last year because of a guild event here at home. This year was therefore my second time, but the fourth for the retreat. Yorkshire is a county with lots of sheep-. An additional activity was added to the program this year, a sw...

Maple Corners: January 2012
http://maplecorners.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Stories about life on the homestead, spinning, knitting, gardening, caregiving and whatever else comes up. Monday, January 30, 2012. I have a confession to make. I have a box of waffles in my freezer. I'm sure plenty of people have frozen waffles in their freezer, so why the need to confess? I can promise you this though. If you ever come for breakfast, I won't be serving frozen waffles. The French Toast might be slightly smooshed day old bread. Sunday, January 15, 2012. These turbines are about a mile a...

Tuesday, 12 October 2010. For those that don't frequent the online knitting world that stands for Finished Object! Well, for every post I manage to finish there are about a hundred that don't even make it out of my head! I have been meaning to post for an age but life keeps getting in the way (that and the fact that I have to fight through a mass of teenagers hogging the computor! But definately the start of Strictly Come Dancing. Buttercup is finished, blocked and already being worn. Ta Ta for now.X.
