Welcome to my story set. I have finally finished my set. It was a labor of love. I tried for an eclectic mix of stories and visual styles. My first story I created after researching legends about the Dominican Republic. All the photos are from the Dominican Republic. Los Indios de las Aguas. The artwork in the transitions was created by students at Carol Morgan school . Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Sharing a Dominican Legend. June 4, 2009 · Filed under Uncategorized. I have created two original stories based on legends I learned from my students and researching online. I found only descriptions about these characters so I felt I should shape a story. One piece of historical information that is important to the story is the Taino culture. Tainos were the indigious culture in the Dominican Republic before Columbus and the Spanish colonized the country. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are commenting u...

Digital Storytelling Journal: Evening of Storytelling!
http://jmwolflis561.blogspot.com/2009/05/evening-of-storytelling.html
A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Last night 2 classmates and I got together to perform stories for our friends and families. It was lots of fun, and I think it went really well. Here also are Rabbit's Snow Dance and Popcorn, which are neat to hear again because the audience is different, and it's in a different location (and I've practiced a lot more). A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Assignment 4: Story Set. I also chose these stories because of their repetitive bits in threes “What big… you have” and “Little Pig, Little Pig…” are wonderful repetitions and stick in your head. Benjamin Pig echoes this with “I don’t like…” which fits him in this triad of stories. It runs a little over 15 minutes (15 minutes and 11 seconds).

A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Saturday, May 9, 2009. Popcorn Storytime: Story 3. Today I did another family storytime at BCL. It had a lot more people then the last two times (about 20 people total! And there were some really good participants. My sister also stopped by to take photos and watch me at work. The children have name tags so I picked a couple of the names to use for the children in the story. The b...

A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Reading Up on Performance. As a break from preparing my stories I decided to so some reading last night. Sonnet for You and On Waking. July 25, 2015. I’ve decided on these two poems for my next post because they’re about that old, favourite haunt: love. These concern the one who has my heart and makes it live. They had to come first: they’re not the only poems that I’ve written about us, but they are the most naked. Hope you like. When thoughtlessly I turn to meet your eyes,. The ripest recognition floods me through,. In blind and helpless love, my old world dies,. Calling to question things I thought I knew.

So it was inevitable that I would be drawn to the tv show spin-off, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. But it didn’t take long for me to see that they didn’t need to be overly connected to the movies. They didn’t need Thor or Captain America to make it interesting (although Lady Sif’s cameo was a very awesome surprise.) The action-packed adventures and curve ball plot twists had me hooked in no time. And tagged Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. June 21, 2014. First Love Never Dies.
