PickingandStitching: Possibilities, #1
http://pickinstitchin.blogspot.com/2017/01/possibilities-1.html
Friday, January 6, 2017. Do you love January as much as I do? I'm so glad I left out the green. I'm still trying to use green and black blocks from Grand Illusion that I wouldn't use in the quilt. Next up was cleaning and organizing my stash closet. It wasn't too bad except for the repro fabrics. I keep my Civil War stash separate from the rest. Here is a before picture;. Pitiful, isn't it? Something had to be done, so another bin was created. I separated into lights and darks. Here's my 3 blocks. 160; &...

PickingandStitching: Nautical Knots
http://pickinstitchin.blogspot.com/2016/07/nautical-knots.html
Friday, July 1, 2016. Its just squares and rectangles. My first adventure with it took place with my scraps from the Seven Sisters topper from our guild workshop. There were some 2-1/4" scraps, which I cut down to 2' and made a Christmas Knot. It finished at 6-1/2" and is cute as a button. Just in case, anyone else is having garlic knots or arrowhead puzzles swarming in their heads, here is a short tutorial on the one I drafted. Nautical print - 1/2 yard. Red accent - FQ. Kona Snow background - 1/4 yd.

Covered Porches and Wooden Screen Doors: December 2014
http://coveredporches.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. My Mom is 82. We're 1250 miles apart. We talk almost daily, but I've found we've begun playing the same game. That's the game of not discussing things that make the other person worry. Though I constantly talk about how it is important to talk to me about things, I don't practice what I preach. Neither does my Mom. But instead - my heart breaks and I tell her, 'I'm so sorry for your pain'. We talk the day after Christmas- her only brother has passed away at 87. Melanie, You ...

Doodle-head Stitches (the blog): SSK 2015 stash indulgence
http://stitches.doodle-head.com/2015/07/ssk-2015-stash-indulgence.html
Navigation to Doodle-head.com. Sunday, July 19, 2015. SSK 2015 stash indulgence. I was so pleased to go to the SSK (Super Summer Knit-together) 2015 Market during the time it was open to the public, and I might. Have gone just a little crazy. I wanted something from every vendor, but limited myself to these, since I would like to retire one day. And probably shouldn't spend every cent of my earnings now. Top row, left to right:. Heart to Hand Quilter: Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.....
http://hearttohandquilter.blogspot.com/2009/12/decisions-decisions-decisions.html
Heart to Hand Quilter. Monday, December 07, 2009. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. I was trying to fill out the admissions essay for the business administration degree and it just does not feel right. I can't seem to get excited about attending business classes. I guess I have changed so much that I would rather study about people than numbers! Being sensible does have its advantages at times but in this case it is very frustrating! Could you stand working at that other end of the people places? The mone...
